So, when looking through Nordstrom’s shoes, I decided we should break up our party shoes into 3 categories…neutral, colorful and festive. And then of course, I added some house shoes and slippers at the end…because that’s my favorite kind of shoe :).
Gold Pumps, Rhinestone Pumps, Gunmetal heels, Platform Sandal
I also have these great neutral sandals that seem to go with everything. They also come in black but I love the blush color…and they’re patent which works so well when the weather is yucky.
And neutral party shoes just aren’t for the holidays…look at these fun images I found on Pinterest of girls in their every day clothes with neutral heels…
…aren’t they all so cute in their neutral party shoes? For some other fun neutral options, click here.
…and they’re not even wearing a dress! If your holiday fetes are more casual with jeans, then I totally think a fun pair of colorful shoes would set off the casual look and make it seem more holiday!
Blue Patent, Red Snakeskin, Blue Crystal, Red Ankle
And before we get to house shoes (which it’s a shame they don’t go with holiday parties…), we’re on to my favorite category…festive shoes! Listen, it’s the holidays, otherwise known as the only time of year when it’s socially acceptable to be in head to toe sequins.
Shorter Crystal Peep Toe, Taller Crystal Peep Toe, Gold T-Strap, Gold Glitter Sandal
Aren’t they pretttttttttty??? Don’t you just want to put them on and head straight to a Christmas party? Or a New Year’s Eve Party? Or a PTA meeting? (Listen, my options are limited…I will wear these everywhere!)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the heels with jeans look! I've only ever done it once (because where the heck am I going to go on a regular basis in heels and jeans?), but I think it looks awesome! Whenever I see others do it I always think they look so cool. And a neutral heel is my favorite too. But fyi: my new UGGs are what I'm going to be wearing every time you see me from now until the end of eternity.

Do you love your new ugg boots more than the tall button ugg boots. I'm on the fence as to which to order…

Hi Shay,
Love reading your blogs. I have an idea. Since you will be bringing home Ashby around the holidays in December and want to dress up in your holiday best that you have mentioned but have no where to wear them, how about hosting a welcome home brunch or dinner for all your close friends and family. This way everyone can dress up with somewhere to go.

I just got the Michael Kors blinged out peep toes (Taller Crystal Peep Toe) and wore them to a wedding over the weekend. They held up well to dancing all night, with only a small blister owing to the fact they were so new.
One other wedding guest was wearing the same shoe and we got no less than 10 requests to borrow our shoes for upcoming Christmas and New Years parties. I LOVE them!
