Ahhhhh…on Monday, we did another Shull Family Tradition. Well, actually, this is a Lowe family tradition that I am now enjoying with my little crew. We call it Jammy Cocoa Christmas :).
My dad came up with this idea years and years ago…you put on your pjs, you go into Starbucks (no drive-thru, you must go inside wearing your pjs), get a goodie and a drink and then drive around looking at lights while listening to Christmas music.
Here we are ready to go! They were so excited! We had talked about it all day and then as soon as Kensington got home from school, they were ready for their showers and pajamas.
I bought their pjs this year at Gymboree and their slippers last year there.
Smith was over the pictures :).
Here we all are at Starbucks in our pajamas!
And then about an hour and a half later, here we are in the garage. We were in the middle of unbuckling and getting them out of the car when I snapped this pic (which is why they’re not buckled). Jammy Cocoa Christmas can be exhausting :).
I love these little traditions with my sweet family!
And since it’s Friday, I thought I’d show you some pjs that I like just in case you need a last minute gift or a fresh new pair for yourself (or something to wear on your Jammy Cocoa Christmas night!). I personally, can never have too many pairs of pajamas and lounge clothes :).
I love these leggings from Gap. Love them. I love them so much that I even bought a second pair. Here they are again…
…they come in 4 different patterns. These pants are cotton and soft and so cute to throw on and wear around the house and such. These would make really cute gifts (and go ahead and get a pair for yourself too…this winter, you’ll thank me).
Earlier this week, I saw this pair of pants from Nordstrom that are microfleece. Same style as the Gap pants but warmer. These come in several patterns too and are awfully cute! If you want something warmer than the cotton pair, these fleece ones should do it!
And speaking of microfleece…my very favorite pjs of the year (that I’m currently wearing as I type this) are also microfleece. I love these. I LOVE these pajamas!
So many cute patterns! I’ve washed and worn mine over and over again since buying them at the beginning of November and they still look fantastic!
On the foodie blog today…
…Reindeer Food two ways plus FREE PRINTABLES to make it extra cute as gifts!! One batch of Reindeer Food is for you to eat and one is for the actual reindeer on Christmas Eve night. Come check both recipes and my super cute printables here.
Happy Friday friends!!

I just love this family tradition you have! There's nothing better than checking out Christmas lights…except for being in your pjs with Starbucks in hand! And I love Kensington's ballerina stance in the photo 😉

How fun! We do this several times during the season, except we make our own hot cocoa. It's such a fun tradition. Also, love those Nordstrom jammies!

Carter hasn't fallen asleep in the car for years. YEARS. And tell me..what time was it when they did this? Like 8:15?

We do something similar only we get ice cream! (Yes, when it is 30 degrees and freezing here in Illinois!). We have several houses that time their lights to music and you sit in your car with your radio programmed to their station. Do you all have those? They are fabulous! Merry Christmas!

this is SUCH a fun tradition!! So sweet! 🙂

We do that on Christmas Eve, minus going into Starbucks. After church we make cocoa at home, put on our pj's and then drive around and look at all of the beautiful lights. We are in the north and it is usually in the single digits on Xmas eve so we skip the trip outside in our jammies, lol.

So we did this last week and my four year old fell asleep in the car at 6:50. SIX FIFTY. Now, granted, she is an early riser (like 5:45-6) so she was tired, but she actually transferred to her bed and slept until 5:30. It was glorious. Anyway, such a fun tradition that we will be doing every year for sure!
