Friday Favorites


Today, I’m linking up with my 3 favorites: Erika, Narci and Andrea and sharing my favorite things. 
 I really need a Friday this week.  Jet lag this time around has kicked our butts!  All five of us are still not over it…we think we are and then 6:30 PM hits and you’ll find any combination of the five passed out in the family room.  The struggle is real!
I love sharing my Friday Favorites and here are mine for the week…

At Target this week, I saw that Essie polishes are Buy 2, Get 1 Free, so Kensington and I picked these three colors for spring.  I’m not sure how long this promo lasts but if you’re stopping by Target this weekend, you might want to check it out.

We’re obviously into pink for spring…let’s face it, we’re always into pink :).

Speaking of Kensington, she is over the moon that the American Girl Doll of the Year is Grace…an American who goes to Paris and becomes a baker.  It’s like the people at American Girl created a doll just like my kid…they should have just named her Kensington!
In this pic, she is showing everyone her Grace book.  I’m doing my book review on Monday of the books I’ve been reading lately and I’ll be sure to throw that one in too…after all, I did read it this month ;).

One of my guilty pleasures in life is binge watching shows.  Flying to and from China, I binged watched every season of Breaking Bad.  Friends, if you have not watched it, you need to!  I don’t know why I didn’t watch it when it was actually on???  Andrew watched it and kept saying how it was his favorite show and then my own mother binged watched it and said it was her favorite show…so, I knew then that I had to watch it!  This is the perfect series to binge watch this cold winter.  There are six seasons.  Watch it!  I promise you’ll love it too!

So, I love my North Face jacket. 
I love it.  
I bought this coat to wear in China where I knew the temps would be anywhere from 10 to 65 degrees and it was the very best money I spent.  I have never owned a North Face jacket but after reading so many reviews and trying on a million, I went ahead and bought this one.  I will have it for life.  It’s so light weight yet so warm!  
After wearing it for 18 straight days in a row, I came home and washed and dried it and it’s still perfect (and I’m still wearing it!).  It’s January and if you need a new really warm (yet so light!) jacket, this is my recommendation.  It also comes in these two colors too…

I posted these cute pj pants on Facebook yesterday because I saw that they were 40% off and have a 5 Star review…
…aren’t they cute?!  During the winter, if I’m home, I’m wearing pj pants.  I just thought these were really fun winter ones :).
Speaking of Facebook, since it’s the beginning of the year, I thought I’d remind everyone about what I post on my different social media channels…

    I'm a first time mom of a 5 week old and with the time difference (I'm on the west coast), your blog has kept me company during all the lonely night wakeups. Whenever I'm up for the late night/early morning wakeups, I always have my phone in my free hand and am checking to see if your new post is up yet! Thanks for helping to keep me sane this past month!     When we moved to Eastern Europe the last time it was in January and I think that was our worst bout of jet lag…winter and the shorter daylight hours.

    I had my first baby last summer and binged watched breaking bad after my husband said he loved it! My mom ended up watching it all after I recommend it! (We also did with Scandal :)) My 2 favorite shows and I got to snuggle a new baby. Ahh the best!

    Well, I guess this just confirmed a trip to target for Lizzy and I today while Jay is at preschool! She's 2.5 and we've started pedicures on Fridays while the fellas go to the Hunting Club!

    What type of SUV do you have? I have three kids and right now we have to fold one seat down for the big boy to get in the third row. Then fold the seat back down for the big girl to get in. My second row is not a bench seat, it has a center console too. From your picture in this post it looks more convenient!

    My husband and I love Breaking Bad!! I've been totally surprised by the fact I love it. It's not normally something I would like. My husband and I saw a few mid season episodes one weekend and got hooked. Thank goodness for Netflix!

    I hope this isn't too personal, & if it is, disregard it. But… I'm expecting my 3rd child in June and my husband & I are currently keeping our eyes out for a vehicle that will fit all 3 kiddos comfortably & I'm style! (Not a huge fan of the whole soccer mom mini van thing) HAHAHHA would you mind sharing what kind of car you have!? Or any suggestions on a great car for mamas with multiples?! Thanks so much!     North Face=love. Up here in Michigan (where it is freaking cold, like the air hurts your face cold) we wear our North Faces all year. Puffers for winter, (multi-layer, long puffers for the polar vortex) and fleece jackets for fall, spring and cool summer nights. Glad you like the North Face!!

    My daughter loves the new American Girl doll too. She is very into Paris right now. AGD has a great thing going with helping to raise money for No kid hungry. My daughter is going to do a bake sale and send them money in! I love how they empower strong girls!!!

    So many of our friends have talked about Breaking Bad and how much the loved it. We've just started it and are only on episode 6, but for the first time in what feels like forever, we have an EMPTY weekend!!! I'm so excited, and I'm sure there will be plenty of binge watching tv!

    Breaking Bad is the best show!! Perfect for all the flying you did! I got sucked into the marathon they showed over Christmas and New Years and let me say, the show doesn't lose the awesomeness the 2nd, 3rd, maybe even 4th time you watch them!!!! haha oops I just admitted that to the internet. 😉

    Girl – I'm cracking up that we both talked TV today 🙂 #soulsisters And Breaking Bad takes me a bit to "digest"…. so I'm having to watch it slowly. No binge watching for me. hahaha LOVE those polishes!

    I knew your new show was Breaking Bad! It is super addicting!!! Every single show is so intense and really like nothing I have ever watched! Speaking of Aaron Paul, he was in our small little town about a year ago and I got to meet him and be an extra in the movie he was working on. My husband's best friend was a director/producer for the movie. You should check it out. It's called Hellions. It's about a single dad and his two sons. Love love love Aaron Paul!

    Aw, your family is lovely! So blessed!!! If I can encourage you to "Phil 4:8"… in keeping your mind on things that are noble, pure, & lovely…there are more wholesome choices besides Breaking Bad to choose from. Everything is permissible but not beneficial. I absolutely see your heart for Christ! Just don't want something like promoting a show with such content to overshadow that love for Him to a watching world. -Kristina

    I have to admit I'm a bit obsessed with Grace too. I kind of want to buy her for my daughter… who is only a month old. But I mean, she's only here for a year, right? And the fact that her accessories include macaroons and brie? She's just too adorable!

    My husband and I just finished a Breaking Bad marathon and it was SO GOOD! So intense, but so good! Those cobblers and crisps look yummy, too 🙂

    Because of this, I went to target and & got 5 (Lilacism, bahama mama [my fav, and my bottle just ran out!], in stitches [SO pretty], & eternal optimist. Plus a top coat and beach bum blu for a friend). I think i might be crazy, but can't turn down a good deal!
