Well, I mean to tell ya…this is just the best little idea ever.
I saw in Good Houekeeping how they were taking cocktails and turning them into floats by adding a scoop of ice cream or sherbet. So, I went to my kitchen and located these three ingredients…
…and thus, a very good drink was born.
This isn’t a recipe…just a fun little idea for your next patio party (or your next cocktail hour!). I rimmed my glass in salt, added a scoop of raspberry gelato, poured my glass halfway full of my pre-made margarita drink and then topped it off with Sprite for the fizz. Delish!
You could really go mix and match crazy with this…
Pineapple or coconut sherbet with your Pina Colada
Vanilla ice cream with your rum and Coke
Orange sherbet in your Manhattan
Lime sherbet in your Mojito
You get the drill…add a scoop, top it with some sort of soda (an Orange Crush would be fabulous in one of these too!) and enjoy.
Happy Hump Day! Make yourself a float and enjoy!
xoxo

Oh my goodness. Perfect summer drink. I need to go out shopping for provisions.

How often do you drink this, if ever?
Mix and Match Mama says
Well, I sure drank that one on the afternoon I made it :). I would typically rather eat my calories than drink them (hello brownies!), but during the summer, I'm all about fun cocktails.

Yes, this looks so yummy! Do you forgo your everyday brownie then?!
Mix and Match Mama says
Probably! I'm not super rigid about that stuff but if I'm having a calorie heavy beverage, I'll typically skip dessert.

Mmmmm. My husband made me a wine float for Valentines Day before and it was surprisingly delicious. I have a girls night coming up soon and will definitely be bringing this combo!!

I thought you and Andrew didn't drink alcohol?
Mix and Match Mama says
We do! Andrew is a Scotch man :). We just typically don't a lot bc we try and eat a little cleaner. All things in moderation!

Yum! We did something similar with champagne & a small scoop of that same gelato over the Christmas/New Years holidays.

What a fun idea! How yummy would this same idea be with limeade, strawberry/cherry/raspberry sorbet and sprite for kiddos or those that don't care for alcohol? Thanks for sharing, Shay 🙂
