Life Lately.


Happy Thursday to YOU!  We’re just soaking up the last half of summer over here.  This week, basketball camp…Smith loves it!  It’s only from 9:30 to 11:30, but I’m pretty sure he’d go all day if he could.  Enjoy your Thursday friends!

This is the face of Shark Week.  My kids (especially Smith!) were mesmerized!  (Notice his pajamas???) I actually loved shark week because my kids also learned so much!  Right now, the two oldest feel like shark experts :).

One year ago on this day (July 10), we received our first picture of Ashby.  So on this particular morning, when she was sitting up on my counter requesting Fruit Loops for breakfast, I marveled at how one year had changed so much.  It was 9:58 PM and we were in bed watching Fraiser when my phone dinged that I had a new email…I opened it up and it was a picture of this sweet girl.  We sat up in bed, read her file, looked at her picture and knew she was ours.  I’m still just in awe of the way God brings families together.

Two kids came into our room the other night.  Love these guys.

Headed to basketball camp for the morning.  He insisted on tucking in his shirt like that :).

And then little sis wanted in the picture too.  Side note…I took this picture at 8:00 AM on Wednesday morning…at 12:30 that afternoon, I was dragging them both to the car from the pool kicking and screaming.  It’s not always all smiles over here.  These two were in a mood and both came home for long naps…mama needed one too after that chaos!

And a little Ashby video for you.  This girl LOVES to swim!  She also loves to jump :).





That’s life lately!

For dinner tonight?  My yummy (and so simple!) Spinach Enchiladas…

    So, I'm just curious….how often do you nap? I try waking up early to use my most productive hours (5-10 am), but after 3-4 days of that, I'm POOPED! Haha!

    So funny that Smith wanted to sport the "tuck". My middle son, Jamison, is Smith's age and has been insisting on a tuck with basketball shorts! Haha!

    Sweet summer days! Smith reminds me of my little guy just a few years ago – his go to outfit now is basketball shorts, an under armour shirt and tall basketball socks. Kindergarten turned him into an athlete!!

    Could you please add me to your prayer list? My husband and I (with our two kids) just moved to a new state because God asked us too. I'm also currently pregnant with number 3. I'm in the process of finding a new OB that I can trust and I'm struggling. I know it sounds silly to some but it's big to me. I left an amazing dr in Florida. I know God lead us here and gave us our little surprise so I know He will take care of us. I just have to trust Him. Thank you<3
