Now that we have a kindergartner AND a first grader, I’m super excited to share my Back to School Menu with you! I picked things that kids will love but won’t stress a busy mom out. Everything is made in advance, simple and perfect for the first day of school. Enjoy!
I’m giving you two choices for breakfast…something sweet and something savory…
For my something sweet, these Chocolate Banana Muffins. My kids love, love, love these! I can make a big batch and keep them in the freezer and then pop them out and heat them in the microwave for 15 seconds. Easy and delicious!
And for my something savory, my Sausage Breakfast Casserole. I love this because I can assemble it the night before and then just bake it the morning of school. Plus, it’s really, really yummy!
I’ve decided that I will make my Butterscotch Maple No Bake Cookies during the afternoon and have them ready for Kensington and Smith when they get home. We love these cookies. Like seriously love, love, love them!
Andrea’s Pulled Pork is the perfect back to school supper! You stick the 4 ingredients in the slow cooker in the morning before the kids head off and then when it’s dinner time, you’re good to go. Not only is this like the simplest recipe in the entire world, it’s realllllly yummy too! I think we’re going to make this our traditional back to school dinner!
For a simple side to my pork, I’m going to serve my Creamy Bacon and Pea Pasta Salad. This recipe is served cold, so you can make it the day before, the morning of or that afternoon. The creamy pasta goes so well with the yummy pork!
And for a special little after dinner treat, I’m going to make simple Apple Pie Ice Cream Sandwiches for dessert…
The first day of school is upon us!
Speaking of which…
Happy Friday!!

I have had the cake mix ready for those chocolate banana muffins for months! I need to get busy and make them. I love the pumpkin spice ones.

Oh my gosh, your recipes are awesome. We made the pulled pork sandwiches last night, the breakfast burritos Tuesday night and are having the Chipotle Corn Chicken tonight. My kids, who are extremely picky, at all of them and loved them! We also made your butterscotch no bake cookies. We are in love!

Your recipes looks divine, but I must ask if you ever cook/bake items that contain less refined sugars? I will have to keep scanning your blog! Thanks.
