Every Halloween night, we host a little supper prior to trick or treating.
Some years, it’s just family, some years it’s just friends, some years (like this one), it’s both!
I make this very casual. Everyone comes in their costumes, we eat around the kitchen table and then leave the mess and hurry outside to trick or treat. When it’s over…we come back and eat candy (I always beg my kids for the Heath bars!). This little meal is one of my favorite moments of the year. Watching my kids be so excited about trick or treating is just so much fun!
Here’s a little menu of what you could make this Halloween night. Happy Halloween friends!
I love this Spicy Spinach Dip because it’s prepared in the slow cooker…so, less work for you on Halloween night! Plus, if you use a slow cooker liner, clean up is a breeze :).
I love a salad that isn’t made up of lettuce…so my Broccoli & Cranberry Salad totally fits the bill! Crunchy and flavorful…without lettuce in sight!
I call it Spooky Spaghetti for fun but of course, you could make your own version of spaghetti and do the same. This one has sharp white cheddar inside the homemade sauce and is a big hit with my family. A little Spooky Spaghetti before your trick or treating!
You could also try one of these recipes too for your entree…
…Brunswick Stew or…
And a little slice of Pumpkin Bread (with marshmallow buttercream frosting!) should always be around on Halloween night :).Okay, we always eat our candy from trick or treating for dessert, but…if you’re looking for some other sweet treats…
…you can find my Wickedly Simple Halloween Treats here.
Happy Halloween!
