Well, life lately has involved a round of strep throat. #boo
Other than a little strep, it’s been business as usual around here!
My breakfast companions like to hold hands while enjoying their scones :).
I said “you guys say cheese” and they both striked a pose instead. These two are always fun to be around! #thirdkids
Using the food processor is one of Ashby’s favorite things. She totally digs pushing the button and making it whiz around :).
After school on Friday, we celebrated with drinks and treats at Starbucks. Ashby looks thrilled that the big kids are out of school ;).
Because we lead such an exciting life…Smith got a haircut on Friday night. The girls were fascinated with the process. #wildfridaynight
Speaking of our wild Friday night…
We had our last baseball game on Saturday morning and it was down right cold! The infield was too muddy and wet for the game, so they moved it to the outfield…so no bleachers. The kids all sat on the sidewalk with towels and tried to stay warm.
These two cracked me up!
My sweet girl.
After church pics with this girl. Sunday was Orphan Sunday at church (because November is National Adoption Month)…y’all, I’m so glad I didn’t let fear and doubt stand in the way of expanding our family through orphan adoption. I cannot imagine not having this girl in our home…and I don’t even want to think about what her life would have looked like in China if she were never adopted out. Adoption is amazing.
This is what Smith thinks about watching the Cowboys play. #dontblamehim #iwenttosleeptoo #imissromo
Monday morning grocery shopping with this one.
After school on Monday, they went inside their “fort”.
Erika took the girls to dance on Monday, so I took the other four to…yes, Starbucks. I know, I have Starbucks issues. The thing is, we have a Starbucks right by our house, so when the weather is nice, we don’t even take the car to get there. It’s nice to just get out and enjoy the cooler weather…and have a cup of coffee :).
They all pulled up their chairs by the drive thru and talked to everyone who pulled up. #thesefour
And then, why does Kensington have such a big smile on her face?!?! We had just left the kids’ urgent care with confirmation that she had strep throat…and thus, got to miss school the next day and stay home with mommy. #shewassoexcited #obviouslyshedidntfeelthatbad #butshedidhavestrep
On Tuesday, the other two kids went to school and I spent the day with just K. We both enjoyed the time together…it doesn’t happen very often when it’s just Kensington and me :).
So, that’s life lately!
On my foodie blog today…
See you tomorrow for another $250 Nordstrom Gift Card Giveaway!!

Hi Shay! Love your blog and your family! I have a quick question for you- I am a BSF leader and one of the moms in my group is leaving in two weeks to get her little boy from China! I am so excited for her. She won't be coming back to bible study this year so she can spend a lot of time with him. Do have any suggestions for a gift or service we can do for her to bless her? I'm not really sure what would truly be helpful/encouraging. Thanks!

I also wanted to ask you something. I don't have an instagram (yes I know crazy, right!) Does that hurt my odds of winning the Nordstroms Giveaway? I love that store. I enter every time u give it, but no luck. I need new uggs! I've had mine since Christmas 2011! Crazy!
Happy Thursday (almost Friday)!
