Hey there Monday.
Let’s do this.
Margarita Chicken Soup. Because it’s a spin on tortilla soup (and I love any version of a tortilla soup). Because it’s simple. Because it’s so darn good!
Red Beans and Rice is perfect family food…especially if you have picky eaters! Just call it hot dogs and rice and they’ll be thrilled :).
Sloppy Joe Pot Pies for the win on a cold January night!
Because every Southern girl needs to make King Ranch Casserole from time to time.
My homemade Spaghetti and Meat Sauce can be made with either ground turkey or ground beef…whichever you love the most!
Mmmmmmm! Butterfinger Blondies! Yes, yes, yes! These most definitely should be our bar of the week!
And our bonus recipe…
…my Banana Nut Bread.
Happy Monday friends!

Thanks Shay! You make meal planning so much easier and more fun 🙂 Your recipes alone pretty much feed our family! As for side dishes, we usually roast any and all veggies. For green side salads, what do you usually do? Thanks!

My kids love romaine lettuce, so we keep it simple and make Caesar salads.

I'm going to try the Margarita Soup this week! I know this is a silly question, but do you think it's a problem if the soup is in the crockpot on low for longer than 6-8 hours? I leave for work at 7:30AM and don't normally get home until around 6:30-7:30PM…I love putting stuff in the crockpot but I don't want anything to be dried out. I read both your blogs and appreciate all the time and effort you put into your daily posts!

The beauty of the slow cooker is that it keeps all the moisture in, so it don't dry anything out. Your suppers will be fine! Enjoy!! xo

When I was pregnant with our third, your meal plan Mondays saved my family from eating cereal and pbj every night 🙂 now, 9 months pregnant with my 4th and I faithfully check your blog to plan dinner for my crew. Again. My fave is roasted tomato and sausage pasta! I do have a question- I have very picky kids, but the rule in our house is we all eat the same meal. Some dinners are easier than others- Do your kids ever put up a struggle? Would love to see a post on this!
