Today is one of those days when I’m not sharing a recipe…I’m reminding you of an idea.
Idea: make Rice Krispies Treats in the shape of a heart…and turn them pink.
Done.
Easy.
Your kids will love this!
You whip up a batch of Rice Krispies Treats, stir in a little pink food coloring and then after they’ve cooled, use a heart shaped cookie cutter and cut them out. Your smallest Valentines will think you’re the coolest mom ever :).
Shopping List
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
3 tablespoons butter
4 cups mini marshmallows
a few drops of pink food coloring
Pour your cereal into a large mixing bowl, set aside.
Grease (I used Pam) a 9×13 baking dish. Set aside.
Over medium heat, melt butter in sauce pan. Add in marshmallows, stirring until melted. Quickly add in a few drops of pink food coloring and stir until everything is pink. Pour over cereal. Mix well and then spread into greased baking dish. Spray a spatula with Pam and press it over the top to get the cereal to stay put in the baking dish.
Allow everything to cool and then once cooled, take your heart shaped cookie cutter and cut out your hearts.
Serve to your sweeties and enjoy!
