Today’s a Thursday that feels like a Friday!
Woohoo!!
My kids don’t have school tomorrow, Andrew’s office is closed and we’re going on a little road trip. Let the three day weekend fun begin!
On Saturday, I got to spend some one on one time with this precious girl. First, she accompanied me to a baby shower, then we went to get her a few dresses for school and then, we had ice cream. She talked non-stop about school, her friends, life…it was so sweet and I soaked up every minute of it. I can’t believe how big my baby is getting? The days are long but the years sure are short.
We went to my grandmother’s house on Saturday night…and she had silly string.
It was a blast :).
Just coloring with butterfly wings on her head.
Sunday afternoon was cold here, so I found myself in my happy place. Nancy Meyers movies are my very favorite.
Kensington and Smith letting everyone know that mama had a book signing that night…
I was so blessed and so overwhelmed by all of you who came to my book signing Monday night. You just have no idea how much that meant to me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of you who came. I am so grateful.
On Tuesdays, I volunteer in Kensington’s class at school. I love spending this extra time with her and her classmates.
This is Psalm 73:26.
Manda did not get the news that she wanted this week, but we are faithful that this only means the Lord has another plan for her. Please continue to keep her and her family in your prayers. She is such a fighter, and I am so honored to be her friend.
That’s life lately around here. I have an Easter cupcake on my foodie blog today…

So saddened to hear of Manda's news. It is probably super obnoxious to get any kind of advice from a stranger when going through a health crisis, but know it comes from a good place. My chiropractor is super holistic and has had success working with people with cancer. He has this book at his office called Cancer Killers about nonmedical methods of treating cancer. Anyway, I've heard people talk about their own personal success stories with grim prognosis but happy outcomes, so it makes me think there is validity to this. Anyway, hopefully that makes sense and as her friend you can pass the info on if you feel it is appropriate. If not, just forgot I said anything!

Fun to see "It's Complicated" on your floor! The guy who plays Luke (Hunter in real life) is one of my son's best friends. They were in a band together while in high school here in Plano. Hunter, my son Michael and another friend were roommates in LA for a few years – an actor, a musician (my son) and a dancer who is now on Broadway. Michael and the other roommate were Best Men in Hunter's wedding last Fall. Three talented guys from Plano!
