Looking for a little treat to enjoy while watching White Christmas? Or something to package up and gift to friends, family and neighbors? Well, look no further than here! My Peppermint Popcorn tastes like Christmas (and whips up faster than you can say Christmas with the Kranks). Plus, your kids can make this too! Super easy for the whole family!
I used one bag of microwavable popcorn for this recipe.
Shopping List
1 bag of microwavable popcorn, popped (I used one with very little butter, salt or flavorings added to it)
4 (2 oz) white chocolate candy coating cubes (found on the baking aisle in packages of 24 oz)
1 teaspoon peppermint extract
1½ cups peppermint crunch (found on the baking aisle)
Place your popped popcorn in a big mixing bowl. Set aside.
In a microwavable bowl, place your four candy coating cubes inside along with your peppermint extract and melt (stopping to stir every 30 seconds). Once it’s all melted together, quickly pour it over your popcorn along with your peppermint crunch. Working quickly, toss everything together to coat. The peppermint crunch will melt and turn your popcorn pink. After the popcorn is coated, spread it out onto wax paper and allow it to cool completely before either enjoying or covering and storing on the counter.
That’s it! Super simple, right?! My kids could not stop eating this!!

One small tip you might want to tell your readers…don’t just dump the entire popcorn bag into a bowl. You’ll get some of the un-popped seeds from the bottom mixed into your yummy treat, but it will be hidden by the white chocolate. Some poor person will be merrily eating and all of a sudden chip a tooth on a surprise seed! Ask me how I know this…??
