Grab your coffee and get cozy. I have approximately 8 billion pictures from our Easter weekend 🙂 .
On Good Friday, Andrew’s office was closed and the kiddos were out of school, so we decided to take advantage of the beautiful day! We had brunch at one of our favorite spots and then let the kids run around and play. The tulips were GORGEOUS!!
It’s just never dull.
We love these four so much!!
Later that night, we met my parents and the other Lowes down on our square to celebrate Andrew’s birthday! Andrew picked Harvest as the restaurant choice, so we all enjoyed a reallllly good meal there.
We’re all counting down the days until baby #2 arrives!!!
Papa Jay was showing Samuel and Madeley something on his phone. They are both just so cute together!!
One group pic at the end of the night. With my mom in the background 😉 .
On Saturday, we played outside all day until it was time to clean up and head to our church’s Easter Eggstravaganza. We had the BEST time!!
First up, face painting!
She was super proud of her bunny face.
How cute are these two girls?!
Miss Ashby picked a unicorn…
…and Madeley a little bunny 🙂 .
This boy had spent the night before with Tab and Nixon at a football scrimmage, so I was pumped when he showed up here earlier than expected.
Snow cones for the win!
These two keep me in stitches!
Sweet friends!
We spent a lot of time in the petting zoo…
…hey look, mom! A baby goat!
Look at sweet Madeley with goat food in her hand 🙂 .
And then it was time for the egg hunt…
…Eggstravaganza success!!
The next morning, I took this pic as we were walking into church. Oh sweet girls!!
And then Narci took this pic of us after the service. I love my peeps so much!!
From church, we drove about an hour to my mom’s family’s side of town to eat at their country club. Ashby wanted her pic with the bunny…Madeley was hiding behind my legs.
Easter lunch is always so fun!! And PS: my dress is HERE. It also comes in white.
My handsome hubby.
This is what happens when you let them hit the buffet by themselves.
After lunch, we took some pics before we headed to my cousin’s house. Here are Lovie and Papa Jay with their grandkids.
And clearly, we should have taken pics BEFORE lunch. Smith. Sigh.
In our family, it’s the tradition that the grandparents give the Easter baskets. I have no clue how this started, but it’s like the Gospel. My mom made some GORGEOUS baskets for the kiddos!
And they were filled with all sorts of fun stuff!
When you get Trolls bubbles!
And goggles!
And a baby to feed.
Photobomb by Sean.
After they opened their baskets, they ran around with bubbles.
My grandmother wanted a pic with all of her great-grandchildren. Ashby (5), Kensington (9), Paisley (7), Penley (3), Smith (8), Cole (1), Madeley (3), Samuel (1) and one on the way 🙂 .
And then, we let them hunt eggs. There were hundreds of eggs. Like, it was insane.
Found one!
Run, run, run!
My cousin’s new house has a tennis court which was SO COOL to play on!
More bubble time! These two girls are two months a part 🙂 .
And that’s it! A super spectacular Easter weekend in the books!
I hope you had a great Easter too. Most of all, I hope you took the time to remember that HE LIVES!! xo

As I am reading your blog, I just saw a commercial for the new movie The Miracle Season, It is about a volleyball team. Thought your daughter may like it.

You and the girls looked darling in various outfits in all of these pics! Andrew looked so handsome on Easter and Smith just makes me smile! He’s so all boy and looks like he wants to seem disinterested in the girly activities. With all of the cousins, it’s probably not as fun for him with no boy cousins close to his age? As adorable as Samuel and Cole are, they can’t play with Smith the way he plays w/his buddies. Your parents and grandparents must be positively giddy with joy to have such an adorable, happy, busy bunch of grands!
Angela says
Beautiful pictures!!!! Looks like you guys had a wonderful Easter! And Shay…your hair on Easter…gorgeous!! I think it’s time for another hair video to show us how you’re getting those soft, loose curls! It looks like a straighter look & I’m loving it!! Please Shay?! ☺️ Or at least we’d love your hair styling tips!
Erin says
Shay, this is totally off topic and random ? but what is your secret to no crows feet? Do you have a special eye cream you use? I had looked back at your facial routine and saw Keihls avocado eye cream at one point… you have such a beautiful face!
