It’s Friday 🙂 .
Today’s post is short and sweet.
I am volunteering at my kids’ Field Day today…which means, hot weather, lots of kids, water and a whole lot of fun. Between that, taking care of Ashby (who is doing GREAT by the way) and everything else this week has held, I’m going to call it quits until Tuesday and spend time with my family and friends this weekend. Please note, Tuesday’s posts won’t publish until 8:30 CST (instead of 4:30), so all of you early readers, please come back a little later in the morning 🙂 .
In my prayer journal, I try and pray for our soldiers every day and for the families of those who paid the ultimate price for our country. This weekend, let’s not forget the real reason why we celebrate. Please also remember Manda’s family this weekend. Monday would have been her 37th birthday…
…here we are celebrating her 35th birthday. Please keep the Maxwell and Davis families in your prayers as well this weekend.
From my home to yours, wishing you the safest, happiest and most blessed weekend. xo

When displaying the American flag vertically, the stars should be on the observer’s left. The flag on your house is displayed backwards.

Hahahahaha! That’s what I said!

Regardless of the direction of your flag I love how you can display a large flag on your home! So patriotic! I, also curious how you got it up there. ?

Andrew is like a superhero…he can do anything 😉 .

I’m not trying to be argumentative but I’m looking at the photo and the stars are on the left. Has it been edited since it first posted?
Mix and Match Mama says
Yup! We flipped it around 🙂 .

Thank you for remembering the true meaning of Memorial Day. 11 years ago this upcoming Monday, my soldier was KIA in Iraq, on Memorial Day. It is near and dear to my heart to share the reminder that not all families celebrate Memorial Day as the “start of summer”. For many it is a painful reminder of the sacrifice our loved ones made for our freedoms. Your kind acknowledgment of that makes my heart smile. <3 Thinking of your sweet friend, Manda and her family as well. <3
Mix and Match Mama says
I am so sorry, Bethany. I am stopping to pray for you and your family right now. xo

Hi Shay
I just had a question- We are hopefully moving to McKinney within the next year. Your house and yard are beautiful and looks like you arent looking into your neighbors yard like most cookie cutter homes! I was just wondering if you can recommend any great areas/neighborhoods in McKinney for a family so we have places to focus on for a home search! Thank you in advance! <3
Mix and Match Mama says
I would love to help! Can you email me, Jackie? I’ll give you some great suggestions!
