So, this is going to sound random, but bear with me. I was looking for something to make for breakfast one Saturday morning and kind of created the yummiest thing ever.
I took biscuits, added ham, bacon, white cheddar and blackberry jam and made it a sandwich. Then, I added just the littlest bit of honey and baked it.
And it’s like the best thing ever.
It tastes like a cheeseboard.
But it’s a sandwich.
You know how a cheeseboard has savory, sweet, often jam and a little cheese?
Yeah, so does this sandwich.
No recipe here, just assemble and enjoy!
I used what I had in my fridge which included a can of Grand’s Biscuits (there are 8 in a can). I baked those up and then split them in half. In my fridge, I had Boar’s Head Rosemary & Sun Dried Tomato Ham (our favorite!), I crisped up a few pieces of bacon, homemade blackberry jam (see my Freezer Jam post HERE), white cheddar (yessssss!) and bam! Assembled! After I assembled, I drizzled just a little bit of honey on the tops of each sandwich (like a teaspoon or so) and then wrapped them in foil. I popped these in the oven (which was already hot and going from cooking the biscuits) and let them hang out about five minutes…just long enough to warm and get the cheese a little melty.
Done.
I’ve made them twice now.
It’s like a cheeseboard.
For breakfast.
You’re welcome.

I’m so glad to hear there are other families out there that eat a ham and cheese with jelly breakfast sandwich. I grew up on these on toast in the mornings before school!
