Happy Fridayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
It’s my first Friday Favorites of 2019, and I have a HUGE list of things that I’m happy to share with you today!
As always, I’m linking up with my girls Erika, Narci and Andrea.
Here we go…
#1 this week? These booties…
…yaaaaaas! I just keep on wearing them! I bought them in gray suede, but friends, they come in 15 colors and even some fun patterns too! Are they a sneaker? A bootie? I don’t know, but they comfy and go with everything. I’m wearing them here with this sweater…
…and this sweater too…
…so cute, right?! This sweater comes in a bunch of fun happy colors…but I also keep wearing them with my athletic stuff too…
…yoga pants, tank, tee and vest for the win! (That was my take Madeley to preschool and run to Trader Joe’s outfit 😉 ). I’m obsessed! I really think the pink color is cute too!
My vest is a few years old from Athleta, but this one here is very similar.
When we were in New York, Karla introduced me to these…
…and now, I can’t go to Costco without buying them. My kids take them for their school snack sometimes and I just literally 5 minutes ago ate one as a snack with my coffee. They taste like a really good oatmeal cookie and the next time you’re at Costco, you should buy some 😉 . (Psssst: if you missed my WHAT I BUY AT COSTCO post, click HERE!) Anyway, they’re super good and I bet you like them too!
For Christmas, I bought both of my big kids one of these and it’s been such a great purchase…
…these Echo Dots for Kids were recommended to me by so many people and friends, we all are obsessed! So, my kids use them for a variety of reasons including as an alarm clock. The day before, my kids will tell their dot to wake them up the next morning at like 6:20 and low and behold, it does! The dot can tell my kids stories, answer kid related questions and it plays kid music. The other day, Kensington asked it to play a song (that I allow her to listen to), but the dot told her it couldn’t. WAY TO GO, DOT! It really does screen what kids are allowed to hear from it. Last night, I went in to Smith’s room and as he was tidying up, it was playing Silent Night by Bing Crosby. Hahaha! Really and truly, I would say this was one of the best gifts they got from us this year!
I walked by these comfy clothes/pajamas at Nordstrom last weekend and it was love at first touch…
…wet hair, don’t care! This hoodie and pants are seriously buttery soft. I have been wearing them around the house and sleeping in them, but you could totally leave and run an errand in them too. Once you put them on, you will not want to take them off. The slippers too 🙂 .
Did you read? Did you read?
My All-Natural Deodorant Review was up on Monday and the people have spoken!! Even if you read it before, go back and read the comments now. I am ordering several new versions to try and will report back. YOU GUYS ROCKED THE COMMENTS!!!
Okay, you guys know I love my Peloton, but these days, I’ve been using their app just as much as the bike for YOGA!!
The day after Christmas, Peloton launched their new yoga classes and I’ve pretty much done one every single day since. They hired several great instructors including my favorite of all time (Kristin McGee!!!). My other favorite yoga app is Glo, but lately, I’ve been doing just the Peloton workouts. One of my favorite parts about the yoga practices on this app is the music! On Glo, there is no music, but on Peloton, you end up doing yoga to some really fun songs (some oldies and some current pop stuff). I even did it the other day to John Denver. Ha! My dad would be so proud.
Looking for something insanely delish to make this weekend? Look no further than this…
…my CHICKEN ENCHILADAS VERDES will knock your Uggs off! You need to check out the (easy) recipe HERE.
Ready to find out who won this…
….eeeks!
On Tuesday, I reviewed my new Apple Watch 4 and explained what I thought was different about it and the other versions, plus, I said I would give one away.
Drum roll please….
The winner is TRACY MACKEY!
CONGRATULATIONS, Tracy!!!!
I emailed you this morning! Please email me back ASAP to claim your prize!!
Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you all have the best weekend!! xo

Happy Friday, Shay! I personally love Nature Valley’s bars and biscuits… I know they’re not the healthiest, but I love snacking on them when I’m feeling indulgent! 🙂

We were gonna do a kid’s Echo Dot for christims for our 12 year old as well, but we actually found out that ANY Echo can do the “kid’s mode”. The same setting that the “kid’s” dot comes with can be turned on in the Alexa app. Just wanted to pass that on in case any other parents have put an Echo in their kiddo’s room. It’s so important to be proactive about keeping our kiddos safe with technology, and I KNOW they love having their own dot in their room. ?

Wahoo for FRIDAY!! Those pajamas are CUTE! Your eagle-eyes were working when you spotted that cozy set!
Sarah Shaneyfelt says
I just saw yesterday where Peleton was offering more than just spin classes! There’s a great market for that right now! My sister has one and she loves it.

I have missed your Friday favorites! Glad they’re back.
Amanda @ Cupcake N Dreams says
I’ve seen all the commercials for peloton lately and would only want the bike/app for the yoga classes haha. I recently found a hip hop yoga class in my area where the flows are connected to the beat of hip hop songs and it’s so fun! Smith cleaning his room to silent night is too cute! My first trip to the Dallas area was this week and I thought of you when I had some Tex mex, it was delicious!

Lindsay says
Where is this? Do they put the classes online/youtube? I need yoga with music in the background!
Narci says
I have those grey shoes and love them! Also, o just switched to natural deodorant thanks to you! Yay! Happy Friday, friend!
Sarah Henderson says
Do you use the drop-in feature on your echoes? It’s my favorite thing about the devices! I can “call” my children in their rooms from the app, even when I’m not home! We used it when we stayed at a B&B without cell reception. We had wi-fi, so I used it to call my devices at home to check in with the grandparents. Also, I frequently use it like an intercom to let them know dinner is ready (or to hustle in the mornings)!
Mix and Match Mama says
Noooo? How cool is that?!
Sheaffer Sims says
Such a great list!!! But those enchiladas….
Angela Ellingson says
Those pajama/comfy clothes are making me curious… what is your favorite pair of pajamas ever? Even just the brand? I’m in the market!
Mix and Match Mama says
I would say PJ Salvage is my favorite brand!
Beth Miller says
Did you know you can use the Dot as an intercom from your phone? If you have the Alexa app, you can talk to your kids in their rooms from your phone on their Dot! It’s so fun! I don’t have to run upstairs to tell my 9yo something since I can just do it from my phone. She thinks it’s the neatest thing!
Mix and Match Mama says
I did not know that! AMAZING!
Kristine says
We love our dots! We use them like an intercom and for alarm clocks. Just sometimes they don’t work because of internet connection. At night we ask Alexa to play the Tickle Monster song and I tickle my two kids while they sing along. It’s often the best part of my day, and the kids love it! Check it out! Also did you know if you whisper to Alexa she’ll whisper back?
Grace says
I noticed that the other night when I was trying to set an alarm by talking to her but my husband was sleeping, she was like “I noticed you are whisper, do you want me to whisper” – Of course by then it woke my husband up.
Courtney says
Those grey shoes are a must have – just ordered them! Thank you for recommending! 🙂
Rebecca says
You can also use the dots and create a group and have it play the same music at the same time. It’s really nice when I am cleaning the house and I can still hear the music everywhere.
Robyn says
I’d love to know more about the Peloton app…cost, workouts, do you have to have a bike or treadmill?
Mix and Match Mama says
I get the app free because I have a Peloton bike and already pay for that service. I don’t know what the price is if you don’t have that already. I have their bike and Andrew or myself use it every single day (many days, we both use it). It truly is remarkable!
Susy says
Yes!! To almond butter. Iscuits. My go-to coffee snack!
Addison says
I love those cute bootie/sneakers! I’m thinking I need an Echo Dot now!!! Happy Friday 🙂
Ashley Guck says
I just got my Peloton last week and I am loving it so much so far! I went back to your Peloton review post before I ordered and it helped me decide to get it. What is your username on it? I have been doing a lot of yoga classes this week too!
Mix and Match Mama says
Hahaha! My username is not for public consumption! I don’t need anyone to see how hard I struggle on that stupid bike! Haha! It kicks my butt EVERY.SINGLE.TIME!!!
Erin E Port says
I am on the hunt for an all natural deodorant. I will have to go back and read that post. I didn’t know there was an echo dot for kids. My kids are always asking Alexa for something around here, mostly to play frozen music and kidz bop music ;)!
Natalie says
So glad to hear you are enjoying the peloton yoga workouts. We just got a peloton last week so I’ve only done cycling at this point but I’m loving it! I need to try the yoga ASAP. Also, good to know the Apple 4 is picking up better when cycling. Yesterday mine was off by a little over 100 calories. I want every one of those to count lol
Deb Weber says
I just won an Echo Dot in a raffle at my son’s basketball game a couple weeks ago. My oldest son and I stayed up until after midnight using it–playing games and listening to music.
Amanda @ That Inspired Chick says
We got three Dots for Christmas and I love them! The drop-in feature is my favorite!

Debbie says
Shay, do you wear socks with your booties? The wedge boot is adorable!
Mix and Match Mama says
I do not!
Lea Culp says
Oh, yes, those Almond Biscuits are sooooo good and we gave our oldest Granddaughter one of the Echo’s for Cmas and she loves it. I’m going to check out the Enchilada recipe, we love enchiladas. Happy weekend!
Jas says
Are the biscuits that taste like oatmeal cookies crunchy or are they a soft/chewy snack? I only ask because some of the Nature Valley things I have eaten are super crunchy.
Mix and Match Mama says
Good question! They are crunchy…but NOTHING in life is as crunchy as their granola bars. OMG! Those things will break your teeth! I would say these are the same crunchiness as like an Oreo.
Erin says
Booties are on their way to me!!
Hena Tayeb says
mm those enchilada’s look fantastic.

Christine says
Do you use the bike monitor/screen to view your yoga classes? OR do you use iyour iPad or phone for the yoga classes? When I do yoga the bike gets in the way of the screen…..annoying!
Mix and Match Mama says
I use my iphone!

I’ve never commented before on your blog but with all the snow skiing you and your family are doing, I wanted to share. There is a special program for 5th graders in CO that gives them a free lift pass that works at over 30 resorts. My 5th grader is in CO this weekend with his dad using his. And, because my husband is skiing with a 5th grader, he gets a deeply discounted lift ticket. Saving close to $1,000 for 3 days- crazy! Anyways, just wanted to share. Oh, and there is a special for 6th graders too.
Alissa says
I just bought the Nature Valley Almond Butter Biscuits at the store based on your recommendation and holy moly they are AMAZING. I only bought a 5 count just in case I didn’t like them but ohhhh goodness I’ll be going back for more soon. Thanks for the recommendation!
jennim says
Do the booties need to be treated before wearing? I got the light gray suede and am thinking maybe I should use my Ugg spray on them?
Mix and Match Mama says
I did not treat mine!
