Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale GIVEAWAY!!


Friends, it’s one of my favorite days of the year!!  It’s my annual ANNIVERSARY SALE ROUND UP AND GIVEAWAY!!!

For those of you who are new, let me explain!  Every year, Nordstrom has their HUGE anniversary sale where they mark down NEW FALL STUFF!  Friends, I do an Anniversary Sale post and giveaway EVERY year because this stuff is AMAZING!  (And when you’re asking me in November where I got my booties, I’m going to say “the Anniversary Sale” and then you’re going to be sad you have to pay full price.)

So, I typically don’t post “what I bought” until the sale goes live to everyone (and not just card holders), buuuuuut things sell out so quickly, that I decided to do it today when it launched to card holders because it just seems to make the most sense.  For those of you who aren’t card holders, you get to shop NEXT Friday.  I also typically wait until my stuff arrives and show you what I bought by wearing it (because I only like to show you what I end up keeping and really, really love), BUT last year, some stuff was sold out by then, so this year, I’m going to show you what I bought (or just loved) this year and then when it arrives in a few days, I’ll post pics of me in it.  Make sense?  ALSO, today, I’m doing my annual ANNIVERSARY SALE GIVEAWAY!

SO MUCH FUN!!!!

Yesterday, because I am a Nordstrom cardholder with at least Ambassador status, I was able to do my shopping.  At 11:30 CST today, all cardholders can shop.  Here is what I bought yesterday (again, sorry I’m not actually wearing this stuff, but I’ll show you once it arrives)…

I bought a rug.  What?  What?  Friends!  They had the cutest rugs this year in the sale, so I bought this one for my office.  This one style comes in like 9 super cute patterns, and it was really hard to pick because they were all so cute!  A rug?  Who would have thought?!

I bought one dress this year…

…I thought I could wear it now and then “fall” it up later.  It comes in two different colors.

I also bought one pair of workout leggings and one pair of cute “run errands” sneakers…

…these sneakers?! 🙂   Of course, my favorite “no show” socks are in the sale too!

Now, I grabbed several tops and/or sweaters and am hoping I will love them as much in person as I did online.  Here’s what I found…

This cute turtleneck came in 7 colors!

Look at this cute sweater!!  Eeeeks!  It came in so many fun colors, but my heart belonged to the pink.

And then looky here at this striped sweater 🙂 .  It comes in several colors as well.

I love a sleeveless top like this one because it’s light enough for warm days but can lean “fall” when September and October roll around.

When I saw this tee (it comes in other color combos) I thought it screamed “wear me to a Saturday morning flag football game” 🙂 .

Oh cozy twist front shirt, I will wear you all the time!

I bought several pairs of jeans.  I don’t know which ones I’ll keep and which ones I’ll return, but I was really pleased with their denim selection!  Here’s what I bought…

This distressed Rag & Bone pair.

This raw hem ankle skinny pair.

This pair of Joe’s skinny jeans.

Typically, I buy several jackets and coats, but this year, I just bought two.  I hope I love both of them when they arrive…

I loved the color of this suede moto jacket (it came in gray too)…and then this jacket…

…most of my military jackets are green, so I loved how this one was gray!

This year, I found two pairs of booties that I loved…

…Vince Camuto alwaaaaaaaaays has a great pair in the sale that I wear ALL YEAR LONG!  And then, I ordered these, so we’ll see what I think about them when they arrive…

…cute, right?  They come in many colors, but my heart was in love with the sesame suede.  I love that they’re “waterproof”!

Speaking of shoes, I bought these for Kensington…

…I love the pom on the Ugg!  And then I bought these for me to wear this fall…

…don’t those peep toe booties look “fall”?!

Several things I talk about all the time are also included in the sale this year.  The number one most asked about item in my wardrobe is one of them…

…my favorite cami!!  You guys know that I have been wearing these FOR YEARS and wear one just about every single day!  They come in a gazillion colors and are in the sale right now!

That Hanky Panky underwear I swear by is also included this year as well as…

…cozy blardigans 🙂 .

I mean…I didn’t even scratch the surface of this sale, but it’s a start, right?  Make sure you check out all of the beauty items and kids’ stuff too!  I always love to buy Christmas gifts for friends and family in the “home section” as well.  When my stuff arrives and I try it all on, I’ll let you know what I end up keeping and loving.

    I popped into Nordstrom yesterday to scope things out and make a return. They were letting everyone with a card shop. So I snatched up another Blardigan. It’s a really pretty green. Will be great for fall. Sheaffer had it in her post yesterday. Will be definitely be shopping online also.

    For years I’ve read your rave reviews about the blardigan and now as a mom of two babes two and under- I think it’s time I treat myself!! Buuuut….how does it wash/hold up? Those two sweet babes cover me in lots of messes and I’m hoping it is a toss in the washer and dryer & come out like new piece??? I don’t spend this much on one item often so I want to be sure!

    Thanks for your prayers about my little girl . We don’t have a slow cooker but I wanted to know how I could make your pork and beans over rice without a slow cooker. How would you do it? Again thank you so much for your prayers.

      Ah! You could do it in the oven on low heat (like 225) for many hours (probably 5?). Make sure it’s covered (I would cover it with foil and then put the lid on to really make sure liquid doesn’t escape).

      I edit, donate and purge very often! I do have some older pieces in there though! I still have one leather jacket (that I still wear!) that’s almost 20 years old!
