We’ve been playing around with lump crab meat a lot lately and have created so many delicious recipes that my whole family loves! These Air Fryer Crab Cake Fritters are not only insanely delicious, but they’re so easy too!! You mix everything together, roll them into balls, pop them in the air fryer and BAM! Done! Whether you serve these as an appetizer or on top of a bed of greens as a salad with a dollop of tartar sauce, a side dish…whatever, you will need to make a double batch because I promise you, they’ll be GONE! Bonus, we used gluten-free breadcrumbs so they’re g-free too!
Enjoy!

Description
These little Crab Cake Fritters couldn’t be easier thanks to the air fryer! Whether you serve them as appetizers, on top of a salad or as a side, they are a crowd pleaser.
Ingredients
- 1 (12 oz) can of lump crab meat (or whatever lump crab you can easily find
- about 3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs (we used gluten-free)
- a nice pinch of both salt and pepper
- two eggs (lightly beaten just a bit)
Instructions
- Lightly spray the basket of your air fryer with a non-stick spray.
- In your mixing bowl, add in all of your ingredients.
- Take your mixture and combine it together using either a spoon or your hands and make about 10 golfball sized balls.
- Place your crab cake balls into your air fryer, close the lid, set the temp to 350 degrees and the timer for 14 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- When the timer goes off, remove your crab cake fritters and enjoy immediately.
Notes
Because we use g-free breadcrumbs, this is an easy gluten-free recipe for our house.

Which air fryer do you have again? I tried the ninja foodi and wasn’t a huge fan, but I am seeing so many good recipes that maybe I need to try one of the basket ones.

Hey Shay! Do prefer the crab cakes more or the fritters?
Mix and Match Mama says
Those crunchy little fritters in the air fryer are my new fave just because we haven’t been doing them very long and they’re so easy to add to salads and such.

What brand of crab meat do you use?
Mix and Match Mama says
I’m not looking at it right this minute but I believe it’s called Blue Crab (something like that).

Have y’all heard of a company called enjoy life? They make really good gluten free food!
Jaime says
Have you ever tried making broccoli beef?
Mix and Match Mama says
I don’t think I have a recipe for that! I should though because broccoli is one of the veggies everyone agrees on over here.

Crab cakes are the best!! Wish I could send you some fresh, Maryland jumbo lump blue crab meat!!! 🙂
Kara says
Do you think I could make these in the oven?! They sound so good!!
Mix and Match Mama says
Yes! I don’t know if they’d get quite as crispy but when I typically make crab cakes, they’re in the oven.

Hi Shay
Did you buy attachments for your Airfryer like for grilling burgers or any others???
Mix and Match Mama says
I did not!
Emily says
Do you do any kind of dipping sauce?
Mix and Match Mama says
I like both Trader Joe’s tartar sauce and their sweet chili sauce on this! Oh and their spicy jalapeño sauce too!

We are going to make these but I am wondering what kind of canned crab meat you would suggest or do you buy crab legs? Thank you!
Mix and Match Mama says
We buy Blue Crab (something like that?) and it’s lump crab meat in a can.
