We’re bACK!!!!
(If you know, you know 😉 ).
You guys, we are in our VERY FAVORITE place on Earth. I’m not even going to be coy…we are planning on spending as much time as possible here in Nantucket, MA this year, so you might as well settle in (we sure are!). Over the last five or six years, it’s become more and more clear to Andrew and me that this town has a very special place in our hearts, so we’re on a mission to be there as often as possible.
Today, in lieu of a traditional blog post, I’ll be sharing a Day in the Life of the Shulls in Nantucket (a blog reader suggestion which I loved!), so head over to Instagram Stories to keep up with us.
This island is certainly not for everyone, but a piece of the Shull’s heart forever stays here. Here’s hopin’ that you have some place (or that one day, you find some place) that means as much to your heart too.
Happy Tuesday! I’ll be over on Stories sharing our day and then back here tomorrow in blog world with a brand new post! xx

I relate to your love for Nantucket so much! I went for the first time three years ago and I have made it my mission to go back every year (I even managed a trip during the summer of 2020.) I always say i wish I could box Nantucket up and bring it home to my friends and family so that they could understand why I love it so much haha. I can’t wait to follow along!

I’m going for first time in July! So excited! Definitely want to try a lobster roll! Not sure what else I will be able to see!

How fun! I go to Nantucket weekly for work. I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for the Shulls! Enjoy!

This makes me so happy! Your family reminds me of my own family growing up, which is probably why I love reading your blog so much. Our family’s place was always Bar Harbor, Maine. We went every summer and now that the kids are grown my parents still go every summer. You are making some wonderful memories there that your kids will cherish forever!! Have fun!

We’ve visited all the small islands off this southern New England coast and Nantucket is my favorite too! (With Block Island falling a close second). Enjoy!

Where did you get Kensington’s shorts in the last pic? So cute.

I’m going to Nantucket for the first time in two weeks and I’m so excited to experience it! Eventually your blogs got to me and I knew I had to see it for myself.

I’ve never been to Nantucket, but it’s on my list! Do you find it crowded in early June?
Mix and Match Mama says
Not at all 🙂

We were supposed to go on a girls trip to Nantucket in April 2020 but….. COVID. So I am excited to go on a virtual trip through your stories and pics! Hugs from Waco!

How fun! We were there a month ago for my husband’s 40th birthday 🙂 Crazy storms and ferries were cancelled so we had to take a tiny plane back over to Hyannis… which I do NOT recommend 😮 But we loved it there so much! Stayed at The Nantucket per your recommendation and loooooooved it!

I’ve never gone to Nantucket, but sounds wonderful and have read so many bookd about.
I feel like I know all the streets and places to eat and visit.
Our family used to visit and stay at Mackinac Island in Michigan ever summer. No cars on the island. Just horse and buggy’s. They do have handicap scooters and bicycles you can rent.
Have been a lot of places and countries, but like you said your heart is there and Mackinac Island is where mine is.
I have a friend who is going to Martha’s Vineyard at the end of June.
Have a wonderful time!!!

After all the Elin Hilderbrand books I’ve read, I’ve been wanting to go to Nantucket! We feel the same way about Italy. After years of dreaming and searching, we bought a home in the Tuscan countryside during covid (sight unseen!)and it’s definitely where we feel meant to be! We got to spend last summer there and confirmed it was perfect for us!

I’ve wanted to visit Nantucket since the show, Wings, aired. Glad you found a place you all enjoy. Those moments together are priceless.
But how do you manage to get to spend so much time there with 4 kids in sports, swim team, friends, etc? Summer schedules seem full to me and my kiddos don’t play as many sports.
Mix and Match Mama says
It’s hard to schedule everything around the kids’ schedules. This was a great time because we are missing a minimal amount of things…but as a family, we have an agreement that over the summer, family is first and sports are second. At some point over the summer, someone will miss something, but we’re okay with the since we’re trying to make a bigger effort to spend time with family than do all the summer sports things.

Shay –
I absolutely love your engagement ring. It’s stunning. I believe I read it’s an upgrade from your original ring. I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing the details – shape of stone, carat weight, metal, jeweler, etc. I am looking to do the same so any information you can give me would be very helpful. Thanks so much. Mary
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh thank you so much! I didn’t purchase it myself, so I don’t know that I can share all the details, but thank you for noticing. My hubby did a good job selecting it 😉 .
