You guys, it’s been over a year since we’ve done our last Q&A with Andrew and Shay! And you know what? We were rusty! Bahahahaha! When it was over and we were making dinner, Andrew was like “I’m not sure it was our best work”. Agh! I couldn’t stop laughing! Listen, the last time we did one of these was February 2021, so needless to say, it’s been a bit. Buuuuut…you girls have been asking for us to do this, so if it stinks, you only have yourselves to blame. 😉
You know the drill, I asked you what questions you had and then we settled in on the patio to answer them. This time, I couldn’t find my tripod thingy, so please note, the camera is further back than normal on us. Maybe that’s good, maybe that’s bad, it just is what it is. When I watched it back, I was like we look hot, my earrings are way too large and we should look at the camera more. We’re clearly not professionals over here, but we did our best!
We answered so many questions including things like “What are Andrew’s tattoos?”, “How to you plan/budget travel?”, “How do you discipline?”, “Who’s most likely to take out the trash?”, “How do you survive the Texas heat?”, “Do you ever have travel mishaps?” and soooooo much more!
We’re a hot mess…but thank you for loving us enough that you are interested in the small little things. We love you all too!
Here you go…
If you want to know what’s in our cup, you can see that cocktail recipe HERE.
Happy Thursday, y’all! xx

I’ve already watched most of the video. I laughed out loud when you put your head down on the table when Andrew was talking about the a.c. vents in your car. THE STRUGGLE IS REAL.
Nancy K. says
Oh my gosh! Shay, THANK YOU so much for the closed captions (actually had tears seeing the CC). My first time being able to know Q&A. When you’re deaf this is such a big deal with CC. Again, Thank you! You and Andrew are adorable. I love you’re precious family. I’ve watched them grow through your blog. I have 7 great grandchildren. They are the beat of my heart and the breath in my lungs.
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh Nancy! You are just the sweetest! I’m always so thankful that you’re a part of this community!

Very fun & enjoyable Q&A!!
Was wondering how you swim in your pool if it’s 94 degrees?? Do you have a refrigerant that water runs over to cool it down??
I think it sounds like Andrew would like to live somewhere cooler? Why did you decide to live in Texas?
Mix and Match Mama says
We do swim when it’s warm…but it’s not nearly as refreshing. Larger pools (like the country club across the street) has a huge pool, so it stays super cold all summer. Andrew is ready to move. Ha! When I met him in college, he told me that he was graduating and moving to Dallas or Denver, and by the time we graduated, we were engaged, so Dallas made sense since I had a job there and all of my family was there. He says now that he’s put in his 18 years, he’s done. We’ll get these kids through high school and then who knows?!

Loved the video! So fun to see you guys interact together!
Also, can I just mention… I was so excited to read Wish You Were Here after seeing all of the reviews and recommendations and I just finished it this morning and I HATED it!!! I’m typing this with a smile on my face, but I just had to tell someone! I couldn’t believe how much I disliked this book!! Does anyone feel like the same way as me?? Probably not! 🙂
Ashley P says
By Jodi Picoult? HATED it!! And I LOVE her, but I hated that book!!
Becky says
Oh! That makes me feel so much better!! Shay rated it as potentially one of her three favorites of the year and so I was so excited to read it and I absolutely hated it. I don’t know if I’ve ever read a book I hated until now. I literally hated everything about the book! (Okay, I was happy that she went and saw her mom to say goodbye) otherwise it was the worst!! Glad to have someone feel the same!! Ha!
Mix and Match Mama says
Well, I just read it this year, so I haven’t rated it yet, but I did really like it! It was my first book of hers to read and that “Part Two” had me gasp audibly! I DID NOT SEE IT COMING!!!! I don’t know yet which books will be in my top three this year!

Thank you for this Q&A!❤️

So enjoyable to watch and listen to! You two are such a delight. 🙂 I definitely think you need to make this a semi-annual thing.
K.K. says
I thought the same thing!! It would be fun if it was once a season!! 🙂

So enjoyable!

This was so much fun! I would highly recommend Singapore and South Korea. The food scene is amazing and there’s so many things to do. There’s a huge snowboarding presence in South Korea so maybe you can entice Andrew with that 😛 Both countries are extremely family friendly so there is something for everyone.
Nicole says
So fun!!! Love these chats!

This was so fun to watch! Thank you for sharing your lives with all of us. I have to say Andrew is so humble and likeable. You can tell what a strong relationship you both have and a wonderful family. Again thank you for sharing with us 🙂

I just love, love, love your question and answer sessions! You are a couple that display your true selves, God bless you and your family!

Would you ever go to a dude ranch with the family? How about a rodeo?
Mix and Match Mama says
We’ve been to rodeos before, but I don’t know that a dude ranch sounds appealing to us.

51 minutes and no kid interruptions…a summer afternoon miracle!!

Thanks for taking the time for this. It was really fun!

I loved this so much!! “Rules without a relationship created rebellion” = mind blown! We have four kids around your kids age or a few years older and this was very eye-opening and beneficial to hear. The story of Madeley and her tacos had me laughing so hard! I feel that girl so much – when you have a particular food in mind and it’s not available makes me want to have a temper tantrum too haha! Lastly – when you try to tell Andrew that meatloaf is not his favorite 😂 his face! Y’all are too cute!
WhittyWife (Lindsay) says
Love it!! ❤️

I absolutely love the Madely taco story!!!

She lost her mind. Agh!
