You guys, today’s sponsored post with Walmart and Collective Voice is just in time because WE’VE KICKED OFF THE SUMMER ON NANTUCKET…and I’m oh so happy that Walmart has amazing delivery even way out here on an island 30 miles out in the Atlantic (everything comes over on the slow ferry!).
Today is also a THREE POST TUESDAY! Not only am I chatting about Walmart’s speedy delivery (get most things delivered as soon as TODAY!), but I also have MY THIRD AND FINAL BALI RECAP plus MEAL PLANNING TUESDAY!
Clearly, it’s a big day here in blog world 🙂 .
As you know, I am so thankful for the amazing low prices every day online at Walmart. It has truly turned into the ultimate destination for all of my same-day needs thanks to their amazing benefits (like early or late delivery, substitution picks, same prices online as in-store, easy returns, and more!). Walmart has so many quick and convenient delivery options which is such a blessing to this busy lady.
Last week, I ordered gifts for my little girls to give their friends for any birthdays happening this month and/or about to happen while we’re away. I shared with you in my MARCH BOOK REVIEW but thanks to reading one of the books, I have totally changed how we do “friend gifting” as I’m trying to work smarter and not harder.
In the book, she says that one way to make life simpler is to have “one gift you give everyone all year long”. This way, instead of constantly spending energy thinking about what you’re going to give different people for different birthdays/holidays/etc, you pick one gift (or theme) and everyone you know and love gets that that year. I thought this was a PERFECT thing to apply to my life as my little two are often invited to friends’ birthdays and now, not only do we have a standard gift, thanks to Walmart, I can easily get it to my door quickly (as soon as today!)! Walmart is the ultimate destination for my same-day needs including what we decided to be our “standard” birthday gift to give this year…anything CRAFTY.
Now when that birthday party rolls around, I can easily shop Walmart online for something crafty, order it, and most days, have it delivered same day. This SUPER ART SET has 272 pieces which makes it not only a really great gift, but it would also make a great summer activity at home too!
For our end of May “things”, I ordered an ALL ABOUT NAIL ART ,a set of ALPHABET LETTER BEADS, a FRIENDSHIP BRACELET MAKING KIT and PERSONALIZED ALPHABET BEADS from Walmart too.
Order, receive, wrap, check!
Whether I’m in McKinney or on Nantucket, I’m a HUGE fan of Walmart’s speedy delivery. The last thing my busy summer needs is waiting around for things to be delivered. This mama loves all of Walmart’s convenient delivery options!
Don’t forget, it’s a TRIPLE POST TUESDAY, so make sure you also check out my MEAL PLAN this week and PART#3 RECAPPING OUR TRIP TO BALI!
Happy happy Tuesday, friends! I hope you have the BEST day! xx

This is not about Walmart, although I like their online shopping as well….but I wanted to tell you that I made your Mama’s Corn Salad for yesterday’s Memorial Day Cookout and it was a big hit! Everyone was asking for the recipe and of course I shared it and gave you and your mama credit. It was delicious and quick to put together, I mixed it up the night before and then added the Fritos just before serving-per your instructions…thank you, thank you! This will definitely be my go to for cookouts.

Yay!!!! Isn’t it so easy and so good? I make it so often because everyone always loves it. Thank you, thank you for sharing this with me!

I made it for the first time this weekend, too! (Even though I’ve looked at the recipe 700 times!) It was a big hit with my crew, too, and I plan to keep it in rotation this summer!

This makes gifting so impersonal.

I agree that it’s not for close friends who you know intimately, but it certainly works when my littles are invited to everyone’s birthday party from their class/soccer team/etc. Those aren’t really “personal” invites, so I think a standard gift makes that an easier route when deciding what to gift them.

I love the decide once for gifts! I have done this the past several years for my sister’s, sisters in law etc and it has worked really well. I choose something I love and would be excited to receive and that I know works for each of them as well. One year I did Geometry dish towels and got them all prints they would like, another year Stanley tumblers in their favorite color etc. It has been so nice for me to just know what I’m getting and personalize that item to the person and not be stressing about what to get someone every month.

One year I bought a bunch of butterfly kits and gave those as gifts. They were unisex and different.
For baby showers I do an elf of the shelf kit (book and elf set).
