If your summer plans need a special RED, WHITE, & BLUE treat, let me introduce you to my PATRIOTIC PRETZEL COOKIES!
You guys, I’m not often tempted with a homemade cookie. Don’t get me wrong, they’re yummy, but I don’t just crave them. These though? I cannot stay out of these. The salty sweet combination is my love language. Delicious!
Of course, you can omit the sprinkles and just make these any old day of the week (or add Christmas or Halloween sprinkles for other holidays!), but I thought they’d be extra fun on the Fourth.
Happy RED, WHITE & BLUE baking! xx

Description
If your summer plans need a special RED, WHITE, & BLUE treat, let me introduce you to my PATRIOTIC PRETZEL COOKIES! The salty sweet combination is my love language. Delicious!
Ingredients
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup of butter, softened
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups of oats (quick cooking is fine or traditional)
- 1 cup lightly crushed pretzel sticks
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup festive sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Lightly grease two cookie sheets and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together your flour, baking soda and cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a second mixing bowl, cream together your butter and brown sugar with an electric mixer. Next, beat in the eggs and then finally, stir in the vanilla. After that, slowly add your dry ingredients into your wet ingredients and stir together with a spoon. Finally stir in your oats, pretzel pieces, white chocolate chips, and sprinkles.
- Once combined, drop by the tablespoonful onto your prepared baking sheets.
- Bake about 9 to 10 minutes or until the edges are just lightly browned.
- Remove from oven and enjoy immediately or keep stored in an airtight container.
Notes
Of course, you can omit the sprinkles and just make these any old day of the week (or add Christmas or Halloween sprinkles for other holidays!). Also, I add my pretzel sticks to a baggie and lightly crush them with the back of my measuring cup.
