Description
If you are looking for an easy appetizer for your summer season, whip up my WARM CRAB AND PANCETTA DIP! Add some warm pita, crackers, or chips and you’re done. Easy as that!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ounces of chopped pancetta
- Extra Virgina Olive Oil (EVOO)
- 1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 (6 oz) can lump crab meat
- 8 green onions, chopped
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Lightly spray a pie plate or 8×8 baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown up your pancetta in a drizzle of EVOO. Once browned, remove to a paper towel lined plate to cool.
- Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, beat together your cream cheese, cheddar and Parm until just combined (do not over-beat). Next, stir in your browned pancetta, lump crab meat and chopped green onions along with a pinch of both salt and pepper.
- Spread this mixture across your prepared baking dish and pop in the oven.
- Bake uncovered about 18 minutes or until bubbly.
- Remove and serve immediately with your favorite pita, crackers or chips.

Looks so yummy! We will be crabbing in a few weeks and this will be a good recipe to use – so simple and sounds so good!

The recipe doesn’t mention when to add the pancetta. Mix in with the cream cheese or sprinkle on top before baking?

Well that was a big error on my part! I have corrected it! Thank YOU for catching that very important detail!
