On day 7, we loaded up the car and headed to Salzburg, Austria and Berchtesgarden, Germany for the day…two of my favorite places. (FYI: Salzburg is where they filmed The Sound of Music)

Mom and I each bought original paintings in Salzburg
We waited in front of a store for about 30 minutes while my mom looked at a clock. I honestly think it was one of the highlights of my day. I had so much fun playing with my kids.

This is Berchtesgarden, Germany. I think this was Andrew’s favorite place to visit out of our whole trip.
We ate an authentic German meal (of course I had schnitzel)…it was so yummy! We followed it up with apple strudel of course.

P.S. I try to buy art (not always for the walls — I bought tapestry in Belgium and sculpture in Italy) everywhere we go too. I really do think we might share a brain.
