Yesterday, Smith took a 4 hour nap, so Kensington and I had plenty of time to break out her new toy…
I ordered her the Fisher-Price Little People Nativity Set. Since she loves Little People, I knew she would love the nativity set too. When you press a button, it lights up and plays Away in the Manger. I really need to try hard this year to emphasize the real meaning of Christmas. We had so much fun playing and learning the words to Away in the Manger.
(On a side note, it really cracks me up how quickly she memorizes lyrics to songs. We DVRed the last 30 minutes of the Chipmunks so she could see them dancing and singing. Well, they sing that Flo Rida song Right Round and now, she sings it too. She was in the play room this morning singing ‘You spin my head right round right round’ and so on. I’m sure the teachers at her pre-school think I’m a horrible mother :).)
I took this picture last night too. Last week, my friends at Boot Camp said sometimes I must be channeling Punky Brewster when I get her dressed…this outfit screams yes!

My parents gave that Nativity scene to Sylvia for her birthday. It was a great idea!!! It is a great learning tool for Brode too. He now wants to go buy family & loved ones gifts "at the Jesus store". We are closer to accurate…at least he understands the giving part this year.
