Well…after two years, 7 months and 16 days of being a mom, I finally got my first sick kid. I know, I know, I know…it was time, right? Of course, this was the one Sunday morning when Andrew had to be at church early, so he got up, got dressed and was out by 7:00. I was up, dressed, hair and makeup done, waiting for my kids to wake up so we could go to church too…then at 7:50, little Smithy woke up with some stomach bug thing. Ugg…off to the tub he went. Followed by me removing my church clothes and putting my clean and fresh hair in a ponytail. Poor little guy. Miss Kensington slept until 9:15, so I just knew she would be sick too (that gal never, ever sleeps past 7:30. Ever!). But, she woke up full of energy, wanting to eat breakfast and play. Little Smith has been cuddling with Mama, sipping Pedialyte, and being super, super sweet. Here are a few pictures from last night. He was having a blast in the backyard playing, eating a popsicle, rolling in the grass and dirt and being…well, a boy!
And this is him right this very second…he’s never watched Toy Story, so I thought he could today on his first sick day. About 5 minutes into the movie, this is what happened…
As my Mimi would say, “God love that little boy”.

Your day sounds JUST like mine! Up early for church, hair and make-up done, dress on, get Parker up and poor baby woke up with a 103.5 temperature…not the stomach bug, but still sick. Fresh hair went up, pj's put back on and Sesame Street and Disney in the DVD player!
I hope little Smith feels better! 🙂

Poor Smitharoo! It's so sad when your sweet baby is sick. 🙁
But looking on the bright side, two and a half YEARS sickness free?! What kind of vitamins are you giving your children, girl?! Maybe it's just the Texas sunshine. Whatever it is, share the secret of your success!
I thought MY kids were healthy and they have each had two ear infections and two stomach bugs apiece! Unfortunately for Kate, that means she has been sick four times in two years while Ella has been sick four times in almost four years. It's almost more sad when it's your LITTLE one getting sick.
