Really? Do I even need to explain why? Oreos…Whoopie Pies…the perfect marriage.
Shopping List
1 box white cake mix
1/2 cup veggie oil
2 eggs
1/4 cup water
16 Oreo cookies
store bought vanilla frosting
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Combine cake mix, oil, eggs, and water in bowl. Crush 6 Oreo cookies in a plastic baggie. Pour crushed cookies into batter and stir to incorporate.
Drop by 2 tablespoons onto lined cookie sheet (leave about an inch between each cookie)
Bake 8-9 minutes
Cool on pan 5 minutes, move to wire rack and cool 15 more minutes.
Meanwhile, crush the remaining 10 Oreos and to your canned vanilla frosting. Stir until incorporated.
Take one cookie and place a tablespoon or so of frosting in the center. Press another cookie on top (this will spread the icing out to the edge).
So good. I mean…seriously so good. I crushed the Oreos finer that went into the cake batter but left them a little chunkier in the frosting. I liked biting into some crunchy cookie in the middle of my whoopie pie. You’re gonna love these!
