The little town where we live (which so happens was named Money Magazine’s 2nd best city to live in in the United States) has Dickens of a Christmas every year. All of the store owners dress like Dickens characters, they close off the streets for a festival, it fake snows on you..it’s magical. We love to go.

We brought along that guy.
Kensington went tubing down an ice slide. She loved it!
Mom and me in the old-fashioned candy store.
Everyone sharing popcorn and watching the festivities.
I claim this stocking. No one disagreed.
Christmas is here! Don’t forget to check out my foodie blog for all of your festive food!
And PS: The last time I wore this scarf, received numerous comments asking where it came from. I couldn’t find the exact one but click here to see one very similar! Have a great day!

We live in Allen and was going to go to Dicken's but we figured it would be too crowded! Did a lot of people notice who Sean was and stop and talk/take pictures with him? I know if I would have saw him I would have been too shy to go up to him!

That sounds like so much fun! I always read a Dickens book in December..it just seems appropriate. I started early this year and am reading Oliver Twist! I wish they did something like that where I'm from!

Adorable!!! Seeing this makes me want to live here over Frisco, Plano or Allen. I love little festivals to take our girls too. Just seems like our kind of town!

I must live near you, we went to that last year and my kids loved the sledding hill. I love that area of town.
I have started seeing the previews for the Bachelor with Sean, I wonder if it is going to get hard for him to go places because everyone is going to recognize him even more now! I know I would recognize him.

So much fun! There is a cute little town here on the water in Long Island that has a Dickens festival every year too. It's so much fun! The best part is when you can roast marshmallows on the street corner. Merry almost Christmas!! 🙂

We've only made it to Dickens once, because we always travel for Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to the Christmas parade this weekend so we can see the lights downtown.

Hi there! I don't know how I found your blog, but I saw this post and had to say hi neighbor! I live in McKinney too. I've lived here since 2004 (other 'burbs prior to that) and have never once made it to a Dickens of a Christmas! Ack! But I do always go to the Mardi Gras dog parade in February..that's so much fun!
