Every other year, we spend Christmas with my family on Christmas and with Andrew’s family on another weekend (and vice versa). This year, we spent the weekend before Christmas with my family. Papa Jay and Lovie spoiled everyone as usual :).
My mom bought Smith these shoes. They’re hideous. They’re the ugliest shoes I’ve ever seen.
And they were his absolute favorite gift (sigh). When you see my child in them in the future…please understand…I hate the sight of them. But my sweet boy is absolutely in love…so, he’ll be wearing them. I’m praying for a huge growth spurt soon so that they’ll no longer fit ;).
The only picture of me from this weekend!
Kensington was madly in love with her new robe.
But then the biggest surprise of all was that Lovie and Papa Jay bought them not one…
…but two cars. Spoiled rotten.
One Christmas down and one to go. Such a fun weekend!

laughing so hard right now about Smith's shoes!! oh the dreaded charachter shoes. my oldest could care less about them but then? my second son came along and i have totally gone ahead of him into the shoe section and hidden EVERY pair of charachter shoes in his size! ha! then he got old enough to figure it out and i finally decided it wasn't worth the fight and let him wear them. {sigh} now we are thankfully beyond that with the older 2 but i'm sure the day is coming with the baby! =)
ps..for the record? he pretty much rocks his spiderman shoes! 😉 and kensington's robe is too cute!

Looks like a fun Christmas! Smith's new shoes made me laugh. Are they from Nordstrom? I took my kids there for shoes in the fall. Ethan picked out a pair that were more bold/colorful than I would have chosen, but still cute, so I let him get them. The next time we went back, the spider man shoes were there–he asked for them, but thankfully we had just bought him some, so I said no. I'm so glad they weren't there the first time. I love for my kids to wear what they like but I would have cringed every time he put them on! Good for you for letting him wear them anyway. Merry Christmas!

Yes, they're from Nordstrom. So that makes them expensive, ugly shoes! 🙂
