Believe it or not, one of my 4 year old’s favorite movies is the classic White Christmas. She loves the singing and dancing and all-around Christmas theme. Her favorite song in White Christmas is not White Christmas but Sisters. (You know…the song the two sisters sing when they dance around in their blue feather outfits…) One day, Kensington told me that since neither of us has a sister, we should just be sisters. She wants that same sisterly bond with someone that the two girls in White Christmas have. So…almost every day, we dance and sing the Sisters song together. She is my daughter…but I will absolutely try and have a sisterly bond with her too. Here are just a few pics of us sisters ;).
I love my girl so much!
Happy Friday!

This is so sweet! When I was about Kensington's age my grandmother introduced me to White Christmas, and it was an instant favorite. And, of course, "Sisters" was my favorite song. Also- doesn't Judy look just like Barbie?

Such a sweet post! I sometimes long for knowing what a relationship with a daughter would be like. Not that i would trade my boys for ANYTHING but there is just something about the mom/daughter relationship that is so special and different than the mom/son! Happy Friday!!

At a wedding last weekend, the bride's two sisters toasted her and then pulled out two blue boas and fans. The DJ cued "Sisters" and off they went. It was so great and so sweet.

That is Ella's and Kate's favorite part of White Christmas too! You should hear them belt out, "Lord help the sister who comes between me and my man!" Priceless. 🙂

I have loved that movie since I was Kensington's age! and that song is forever a favorite!!! There is something special about that sisterly bond. I think this was one of the sweetest posts I've read of yours. It is so special that she wants to have that kind of relationship with you – and that you would try, too.

This is SO sweet! White Christmas was my favorite movie growing up too. When I got married this summer – my sister surprised me during her MOH toast. She had the huge white feather fans ordered from a costume store and the band played "Sisters". We still remembered all the words and the moves we made up as kids. It was such a great surprise and a wonderful memory with my sister.

Hi Shay! Oh my gosh, this makes me so excited to have a daughter… She is coming in three more months and I can't wait to be sisters with my only girl!!! We love White Christmas as well… My sister in law, Christina, her dad was actually one of the dancers in White Christmas! It has definately been a family favorite! Her dad actually passed away this week… Feel free to read the article, I'm sure you would recognize him! Prayers for her family as they cope with his loss. Lord bless you guys!
