Are you guys going 90 mph too? I know we sure are! We only have two small kiddos and yet, we run around like a crazy this time of year…I can’t even IMAGINE the busy schedules of so many of your families with several older kids.
This week, it’s all about getting dinner on the table fast! Family friendly food that is quick and easy is our top priority for this first week of October :).
Day 1: BBQ Joes are so simple! You can even keep the leftovers warm and just heat them up for any family members that can’t sit down with you at dinner time. Plus, use your leftover Texas Toast on Day 3 to go along with your pasta supper.
Day 2: Mom’s Jambalaya is made in the slow cooker, so it’s really simple to pull together! This recipe is bursting with yummy flavor!
Day 3: Roasted Tomato and Sausage Pasta is the most requested pasta dinner in our house. Andrew loves it, the kids love it and I love it because it’s quick to throw together. Plus, my kiddos are eating spinach as they eat this pasta…that makes this mama happy :).
Day 4: Chicken Cordon Bleu might sound kind of fancy but it’s such a simple supper! Just put all the ingredients in your slow cooker and don’t open it until dinnertime. This makes boring old chicken tastes extra yummy!
Day 5: Enchilada Soup will be your new favorite soup recipe. I promise. Just ask my friends. They all make it over and over again.
Bundt Cake #11: Salted Caramel Mocha is my tribute to the fall seasonal drink at Starbucks. Forget a boring old chocolate cake, this cake takes chocolate to a whole new level!
Halloween Whoopie Pies are my extra dessert of the week! Now is the time to make them while the Halloween cake mixes are out. I could eat a dozen at one time. OK, I lied, two dozen.
Easy Apple Turnovers can be both a breakfast or a dessert. They come together in no time flat and taste just like apple pie…without all the work.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend and have a great week ahead!
Happy eating!

I absolutely LOVE your meal planning Monday post!! So many meals that I can't wait to try! A friend made the salted caramel mocha cake and took to work last week and she said it was AWESOME and eaten up fast!! I get request from all of hubby's coworkers at the PD to make one every week….and they love every single one I've made and sent. Now it's time to try the bars and I think the pumpkin is the perfect one to start with!! 🙂

Yes, the jambalaya is sooo good! I've made several of your recipes lately and each one has been a hit. My husband's favorite pie is pumpkin. So I made your pumpkin snickersoodle bars tonight. I thought he was going to pass out in the floor after the first bite! Ha! Said it was the best "cake" EVER! 🙂
