Is it wrong that the picture of K crying on Santa's lap makes me really REALLY happy? That's all I have time to say, because the 50% off sale at LOFT is CALLING MY NAME!
Oh…one more thing….that sparkly skirt is SCREAMING your name. But you should probably get it hemmed. 🙂

Hi Shay! Usually my morning routine before the kids get up is to read up on you and Sheaffer's blog! BUT this morning I had to shop the 50% of sale and free shipping at Loft first! That's my Christmas. 🙂 I also wanted to thank you for your Christmas recipes. My husband had to take 6 dozen cookies to work for an exchange and he loves red velvet so I immediately came to your foodie blog and made the red velvet whoopee pies! Let me just say they were a hit!!! Now I must go make the recipe of the day! I appreciate how simple and festive all your recipes are. You came to my rescue. 🙂 And while I'm at it….my daughter is in 3rd grade and she still believes in Santa. We have two boys ages 6 and 3 that of course still do, too. So hopefully you still have some time! It breaks my heart also to think that it is coming to an end with her. I'm going to live it up this year!

I love Santa pics!!!

They look like professional Santa picture posers this year!! I cannot get my oldest daughter to sit on Santa's lap to save my life. She did it for me for her first and second year, but I've had no luck since!

Shay, first of all I tried your sausage and corn chowder soup last night and holy cow! I'm very picky when it comes to recipes in general and I made this exactly as you suggested (used hot italian chicken sausage) and I had to stop myself from eating. I shared it with a friend last night bc hubby was gone and I have one more bowl waiting for me in the fridge for tonight…I usually give my husband leftovers for lunch to take, but I told him, "babe, you get a pbj tomorrow…I'm eating the soup." lol Anyway, SO GOOD. Also, do you mind telling me what Santa y'all see? I've tried finding one that wears the hat, but Stonebriar and Watters Creek don't. I already have my son's first Christmas with Stonebriar Santa so I'd like to keep there, but may switch if this one is close by…I'm guessing it might be the Northpark or Galleria one. Just curious. Cute pics!

Love seeing the kids with Santa. He's a good one! K's random doll request immediately made me think of Ethan slipping in a last minute request to Santa when he was about 6 or 7. We were stupid and waited until the week before Christmas to see Santa! He asked for a K-State football helmet ("just like Andrew's) – do you remember looking for one and not finding any in Manhattan? We ended up buying a plain helmet and with the decal you bought, tracing and painting (w/special K-state purple paint from the auto body shop) the Wildcat on each side. That was a close call!
