I have loved looking back over this last year and seeing all of these happy moments. Here’s the thing though…2013 wasn’t all sunshine and roses. I cried a lot, my feelings were hurt, I was angry, I was stressed, I was tired, I was a normal mom with normal problems. That being said, I really try and find some piece of happiness and joy in every single day God gives me. Some days sucked this year…but I manged to squeeze out a tiny piece of happiness in a silly photo. I highly recommend you document your life in 2014. It has been such a blessing to have my year in pictures and of course, I will be doing it again next year. #shayeveryday2014 comin’ your way January 1 :).
Here are some of my favorite days…
I mean…let’s be honest, I’m still kind of in shock that on Day 7, my brother starred in the Bachelor. Weird doesn’t even begin to describe it. He is totally just my little brother…so all of this hoopla is kind of surreal.

Wow! This post was really heart touching to me. I unfortunately will remember part of 2013 with a very heavy heart – the loss of my grandfather. But on a lighter note, I too sold my house and am building a new one!! I pray that 2014 will bring my many blessings including moving into my house and a very hopeful first pregnancy (after fertility). I just know that 2014 is going to be a special year for my family! So Shay, thank you so much for sharing your life with so many and being such an inspiration! I am absolutely going to document my life daily with all things positive around me so that I can reflect on exactly how blessed life has been for in 2014 ! Merry Christmas and a very happy new year! – Danielle

I love this. 2013 will be a year for my family to remember with a fair share of good and terrible. I only wish I had started the pictures this year, I will definitely be adopting this in the new year. Thank you for your upbeat and positive attitude. It is very refreshing to read everyday! As it is so easy to dwell on the bad, you are a nice reminder to focus on what is important. Happy New Year, I hope it is a blessed one

Such a beautiful year! My days mostly consist of wake up-go to work-home from work-sleep, so I don't know how exciting pictures of my every day might be, but I might give it a try 🙂

I love that you post pictures for everyday. I also love that you find a bright spot for everyday no matter what you're going through. I have always tried to be that way. I play the blessed game, where I always find a blessing in all things. I have never not been able to find a blessing. That's how good our God is. Your blog makes me smile everyday. Thank you for being a bright light to so many. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Prayers for your precious daughter to get home soon. I remember how difficult the waiting is. We adopted our son and I just wanted him in my arms. I promise that the wait is worth it. Trust that God's timing is perfect and he's growing you even as you wait. God bless you and your family!
