I watched the episode; your family looked beautiful! I was disappointed that they didn't show the bridal party getting ready, or the reception afterwards. How was the reception? Fun, I hope! Congratulations on your brother getting married!

Shay, Oh My Goodness! The wedding was beautiful, sweet, touching, loving and full of God! I think your dad is even more precious than I already imagined. I loved how he described both Sean & Catherine! I love his advice and encouragement to keep Christ the focus and top priority.
Your children were absolutely darling! You were stunning! Congratulations for gaining a new sister! Have a relaxing week…I am sure it is much needed!

GET HOME! CALL ME! SOMETHING!!!! TEXTING IS NO LONGER SUFFICIENT. I need to know each and every single detail IMMEDIATELY! The ceremony was perfection and it was SO MUCH FUN watching your sweet (and GORGEOUS) family on t.v.!!!!

So yes, ditto to everyone else. I loved loved the wedding (although they could have kept all the awkward lingerie shopping out….I actually felt bad for Sean)but little question about today's pic of Kensington and Smith…did you take your flannel sheets with you for them to sleep on?
Meryll says
Shay – I was following you on instagram and twitter and loved the behind the scenes!! Looking forward to your recap post! You all looked so gorgeous and flawless.
I just commented on Andrea's Never Say Never blog (so happy I found her through yours!!) that the first hour was awkward with the 'grown sexy' concepts hahaha!! whyyyyy? did they show these recaps before the reception started also? wondering how you even explained everything to the Smith and Kensington!! everything was so PG rated!!
thanks for sharing your wonderful life with us 🙂 I'm only a student but I can't help but take notes for meals, (living on my own) and organizing tips and fun things to do when I have kids of my own! 😀

I can only imagine how tired you all are! The wedding last night was such a joy to watch and I loved seeing your sweet family! You all looked AhhMazing and the wedding itself was just Beautiful! Your dad, well he is just the sweetest and he always makes me cry….I absolutely LOVED his message at the ceremony, it was just so heartwarming to see God be such a focus on their special day. All the best to Sean and Catherine, they look truly in love and they are just so perfect for each other!! Safe travels home!!
Sara Laverty says
Hope your travels home today are stress free! What a sweet ceremony last night. Everyone looked so beautiful and it was absolutely wonderful to see the Lord's name proclaimed so boldly! Can't wait to hear more about it. Congrats to your family again! xoxo

Hi, Shay! You are a dedicated blogger, posting this photo after such a LONG day!
The moment I lost it and started crying was after Smith walked down the aisle, watching Andrew scoop him up and embrace him. I almost went into my own sleeping son's room to hug him!!
I hope life can get back to "normal" for you all now and that K and S will have their uncle back. They won't remember promotional appearances in Las Vegas and such, but they will remember the little things like him picking them up from school and taking them to gymnastics, etc.
XOXO

I was smiling the whole time, but I got so teary-eyed when I saw Smith & Kensington. Something about little ones at a wedding that always gets me.
I, for one, am very glad that they didn't show any more than they did. While it would have been nice to take a sneak peak into the "getting ready", and the reception, I'm glad that they gave Sean, Catherine, and all of the family some time to enjoy the wedding without the cameras being turned on.
…and dear Gussy! Your dad is awesomely fantastic. I woke up still in prayer over Sean & Catherine. His words stick like super glue. What a great man!
Keisha Dawson says
Thanks so much for sharing all of your pictures on Instagram this weekend! You are so sweet to give all of us an insight into the fabulous wedding of two precious people! I cannot tell you how amazing it was to see your dad perform a God centered ceremony on national television. I know that God has used your family and the platform of The Bachelor to share the Gospel with the world. He works in such amazing mysterious ways. He is SO GOOD! You and your precious family looked absolutely stunning!
Sarah E @ theteacherswife.com says
We had a super busy weekend, but the thing that kept me going was knowing I'd get to relax and watch the wedding last night. What a beautiful ceremony and so special that your dad officiated. You and your entire family looked gorgeous and Kensington and Smith did so well! I hope you had a wonderful time celebrating and that you can catch up on some sleep on the flight home!! 🙂
Andrea Worley says
Congrats to your family, the wedding was beautiful and your dad did an amazing job. What a blessing to see such a God centered ceremony on tv. Your dad was spot on with his words! Your family looked beautiful!
Lisa Odom says
I know you are tired today. I thought the wedding was beautiful and very personal in spite of it being on national tv. In your blog post, I hope you touch on the direction it was taken in by the producers and your thoughts on it. I thought the honeymoon cam and the maids making up the bed and all was very tacky. I was trying to watch the wedding with my three teenage daughters and had to turn it. Such a shame they chose to do that to such an event. Just was wondering your thoughts and how your children were going to be able to watch themselves back on TV with all that other stuff on there. Sean and Catherine both looked so happy.
The kids did a great job. It was BEAUTIFUL!

The wedding was amazing, loved that it was Christ-centered! I have to say your little Kensington delicately throwing the flowers down the aisle was just perfection…both of your children were so cute (the camera loves them). You are truly a blessed family. So happy for Sean and Catherine!
Tammy says
I watched the wedding last night from my t.v. here in Omaha, NE and it was beautiful as ever. You family looked stunning. Watching your kids walk down the isle made me smile 🙂 Great night and beautiful wedding 🙂
Rebecca Batten says
Could your Dad be any sweeter? I LOVED how touched he was when Sean and Catherine asked him to offiate. I had tears in my eyes:) Everyone was stunning and I loved seeing the kiddos walk down the aisle. Congrats!
Anonymous says
Beautiful family! However, to me the star of the show is your Dad (not that he was trying to upstage anyone, it was all natural). If ever I get married again (I'm a widow) I would like him to officiate.
Katie says
I loved watching the wedding. It was beautiful. My hubby cried during their vows. 🙂

Can I make a request to see some detail shots – the flower girl dress, the hair, etc? Looks so great!

What a beautiful ceremony. The fact that your father officiated was so wonderful. He did a great job and brought tears to my eyes. What a wonderful man! I am excited to see your recap. I wish ABC showed more of the bridal parties and more of the SHULLS! Side note: loved Sheaffer's must have denim jacket making an appearance when Sean and Catherine announced the date!!! I'm sure there were wedges underneath the table that we didn't see 😉
marianne says
LOVED the wedding. Your dad did a fabulous job!! I felt so proud that Christ was the focus of the wedding and marriage. You all were beautiful too!!!

I never watch the Bachelor, but I wish I would have watched when Sean and Catherine were on there. Loved watching the wedding last night! It was beautiful and so heart felt! And you, Andrew, Smith, and Kennsington looked gorgeous! Can't wait to hear all about it on Wednesday!!!
Audrey says
My mom and I watched together and we cried through the whole wedding! I just love that God was the focal point of the ceremony and that your dad did not shy away from speaking the Lord's name on national TV – numerous times. It was awesome! You and your entire family looked stunningly beautiful. Wishing you all so much love and many blessings to come. All glory and honor to God!
Christine says
Shay, I follow your blog and rarely ever comment.
I wanted to comment today though. I watched the wedding last night and it brought tears to my eyes. Not just because every detail and person in the wedding was beautiful and flawless, but mostly because of how much glory you all gave to God! Seriously, I LOVED how Christ-centered the wedding was! What a great testimony.
Your dad seems SO sweet. 🙂
Also, I applaud Sean and Catherine for waiting until marriage. Not an easy thing to do in this day and age. My husband and I waited too and exchanged our promise rings at our wedding.
Anyway, CONGRATS to all of you and I'm excited to read your recap.
Jennifer Cannon says
I have no shame in saying I cried through the entire thing.
1) your dad is precious. You know that. America knows that. Duh.
2) the actual ceremony- full of Jesus. = Perfection.
3) smiths precious facial expression walking down the isle. Made my night!
4) Your mom looked absolutely stunning.
5) you and Andrew…. looked like a couple right out of a magazine!
6) Seans face walking down the isle….Cant. even. talk. about. it.
I mean I honestly can go on and on……
Oh yeah- Kensington, sweet sweet Kensington, took her job OH so seriously and it was adorable!!
Thank heavens I recorded it, so I can watch it over and over!
Safe travels Shulls!
xoxo

You and Andrew both looked fantastic and the kids were so adorable. That little Smith face was too much. They did great, you should be so proud! Can't wait to read the recap. 🙂 Also, your dad reminds me so much of my dad- such a Godly, sweet, loving man. He was the star of the show in my opinion 🙂
Kristin says
I had a glass of wine in hand, cried (especially hearing from your dad) and loved watching! My 7 and 5 year old watched, too and were glued to the TV. My son joined in and said "I will" when your dad asked everyone to pray for your brother and sister-in-law 🙂 It was funny because they noticed your kids and asked their names. Normally, I'd say, oh I don't know but I am sure they are sweet! And though I don't know you personally, I was telling them oh, that's Smith and that's Kensington. Everything and everyone was so beautiful, congrats!
Mike and Molly Spivey says
Ok – Loved EVERYTHING about that wedding! I loved the boldness of Sean and your precious dad! I loved how tender he was to both Sean and Catherine – so stinkin' sweet! I love how Christ was so evident in their lives – not only for the world to see, but for the "Bachelor Nation" to see! They get to know Sean has a friend, instead of someone famous, and they can see his faith.
Loved loved it! I feel like I know you from the blog – so I felt like I was watching my friends wedding – over dramatic, I know! 🙂
Mike and Molly Spivey says
Oh and last night your mom and Kensington looked SO MUCH ALIKE! Twinsies!

I am DYING to watch the wedding. I'm still waiting for it to come through via itunes…since I'm in Europe! But your twitter/instagram pics are helping to keep me patient! Your family is simply amazing and you all shine so bright for Jesus! xoxo

Between this blog and The Bachelor/ette, I feel like I actually know your family. I feel like I know you well enough to see if you wanted to grab coffee so I could hear about the wedding – never mind that we live across the country and I've never met you. Ha ha! What an amazing world we live in that we can feel this close with people we've never actually met. I am just so thrilled for all of you and it looked like such a special day. Your entire family is just so darling. Thanks for including all of us in your lives!
