I love my Saint Germain!
Sheaffer: Lip gloss is the one make-up product I absolutely can’t live without! I like NARS Sweet Dreams and MAC Viva Glam. I always wear the same lipstick, but I rotate between these lip glosses.
Sheaffer: Right now the hubby and I are really in to Blacklist. We LOVE James Spader. But we also will always sit down to watch a Cosby Show episode if we catch one. Claire Huxtable is my favorite tv mom ever!
The Shulls in London 🙂
Sheaffer: Well, this is not really a vacation destination, but my favorite place on earth is my husband’s families’ ranch house. I just love spending time their with my little family. It’s the perfect place to just be together and enjoy each other.
Sheaffer: Well, the 2 most worn shoes in my closet right now are my Putty Callisto wedges and my Nude Patent Flats. I also love my leopard flats.
I found these pics off of Google…Alpine Snow and Glitzerland 🙂
Sheaffer: I’m consistently amazed at how Jesus Calling can completely nail what you need to hear on certain days.
Sheaffer: I love the Peppermint Dreyer’s frozen yogurt. It only comes out around Christmas time, and I always have to fight the urge to buy like 20 so I can have it throughout the year. Of course I would also have to buy an extra freezer to keep all of it. Details.
Sheaffer: Let’s go with Sandra Bullock. And maybe afterwards she’ll be my best friend.
Sheaffer: Laundry fo sho. I’ve been known to have to run a load 3x before finally moving it to the dryer. And if we’re going to be honest, there’s a load in right now. It needed to be moved about an hour ago, and yet I’m not getting up to move it. Maybe tomorrow.
Sheaffer: I LOATHE cotton balls and Q-Tips. Cotton balls make my skin crawl and my teeth hurt. It’s like nails on a chalkboard to me. I literally just shivered thinking about it.
She loathes cotton balls? Really? And I’m friends with her? I’m starting to doubt our entire friendship (and her sanity) right now…
…and you thought you already knew everything about Sheaffer and me?!?!
Thanks Sheaffer for answering my questions…six months later :).

Now I feel like I've got something in common with you and Sheaffer. I've been wearing Alpine snow as a favorite for awhile now (love what you said about the clean look, so true!) and Steel Magnolias is my all-time favorite movie! 🙂
Tab & Erika says
Ok…Sheaffer…how do cotton balls make your teeth hurt?? WHAT? Why have we never discussed this? And..I LOVE that Shay said a trashy girly book and Sheaffer said a devotion…hahahaha!
Polka Dot Blossom says
Shay! Never sweep again! We bought this baby a few years ago so the boys could help with chores, and we haven't picked up a broom since! Seriously life changing tool! It is now my favorite chore. You gotta get one! http://www.target.com/p/electrolux-ergorapido-2-in-1-cordless-stick-and-hand-vacuum/-/A-14263655#prodSlot=large_1_1&term=electrolux+vacuums

I love the Q & A! Also, I think it is Redken All Soft, not Revlon? I use that too!
Narci says
Love you, girls! This was so great–and, yes–Jackson is Jackson because of Steel Magnolia's! Best movie ever!!
Mix and Match Mama says
Yes! It is Redken! I corrected it :).

When we were talking at 5:30 this morning I hadn't read blogs yet, so I had no idea that we were having such a good time at our pj party! Of course, my kid with the super high fever probably would have put a damper on an actual slumber party, so it's a good thing it was a virtual slumber party for now. HOWEVER, I think we need to have an actual slumber party soon! Now listen, I know you like to sleep in your own bed, and that's just fine. I'll just come over. 🙂
Lynette says
I had to laugh out loud at Sheaffer's cotton ball comment. I am exactly the same way and my family thinks I'm crazy for thinking that about cotton balls!
Angela Ellingson says
I totally commented on Shaeffer's sleepover saying I was sad she didn't answer the questions. Just looked back to be sure and yep, second comment from the top. 😉 Loved reading both your answers.
Melissa Kelly says
I will never look at cotton balls or q tips the same way again.

Oh Shaeffer…Jesus Calling is so amazing how it appears to read your mind. I bought it and was loving it. My daughter was going through a hard time and she borrowed my copy to read a couple of real relevant days and it never got returned. I bought a second copy. We are both at such different stages of life and for different reasons each and every days reading is ridiculously relevant to what is going on with our life. Now I'm feeling my other daughter needs a copy of the book as well. It just might become the most given Christmas gift next year.
Dani {Adventures of a Pharm Girl} says
I just love you two! Love love love!
Thanks for sharing!

Sheaffer! I loathe (H.A.T.E.) cotton balls too! Can't touch them, can't look at them…keep them away! I.know.how.you.feel.girl….
Shawna says
Shaeffer, I totally get the cotton ball thing! I don't mind q-tips, but just the thought of pulling apart a cotton ball makes my skin crawl!! I taught preschool for a bit and do you know how many art projects deal with cotton balls?! Let's just say we changed a few materials that year 🙂
Liz says
Hi, my name is Liz and I, too, have a fear/phobia of cotton balls. 🙂
It is definitely like fingernails on a chalkboard. Just thinking about them makes me have to clench my jaw shut. Ugh! Glad I'm not the only one!
Slightly Askew Designs says
WHAT IS UP WITH THE COTTON BALLS?!?!?! Sarah S is the same way… and she's a nurse! So strange. And I had no clue that Carter JACKSON came from Steel Magnolias – sweetest thing ever. LOVE you both and yes…. slumber party at Shay's 🙂
Darcy says
A fun post for the "start" of the week. 🙂 And I dread sweeping and mopping floors too….
Annie Cox says
I love that Shaeffer said that about cotton balls. My college roommate was the same way and hated the way it sounded when you put on cotton socks. I always thought it was weird so I will have to tell her she is not the only one. Loved all your answers!
Bekah Bruce says
And this post proves again why I think you guys are my friends! Haha! So much in common! Cajun Shrimp–YES! Mopping and sweeping–loathe! Good fiction and Jesus calling–PREACH!
Thanks for another fun post!
Sarah says
cotton balls…so how do you get off your nail polish Sheaffer? This intrigues me. Haha Shay, Jude Law, you're funny, and yes, yes you totally can!
the girl in the red shoes says
Okay, I am officially IN LOVE with this post..and with both of you! The cotton ball thing is cracking me up. I want to have a pajama party with BOTH of you right now!!!

Shay, I know you paint your nails often. I don't mind painting mine but despise taking it off. Do you have any tricks to make it easier, or just the good ol' cotton pads and nail polish remover method?
Polka Dot Blossom says
I was just rereading through these comments because of the big reaction to Sheaffer's cotton ball repulsion… So funny…but I have to say I am the same way. Every post I read that mentioned cotton balls gave me the goosebumps…and not the good kind!
Laura says
One of my college roommates hated cotton balls too! I couldn't keep them in iur shared bathroom and used to put them in her bed to freak her out. She would be mad for DAYS.
Danielle says
So, I feel like I should totally hold you responsible for my obsession with Vanilla Bean Noel. I live in Bangkok with my hubs and have had it shipped over here. I have also had my friends back home go to Bath and Body works to try and scoop some up. I have one bottle left, and am not really sure where to go from here! I feel a little lost, not sure how I will last until Christmas!!! I will , however, be shipping a whole lot more over here once it's on sale!
Mix and Match Mama says
When I did my nail polish post, I had several people tell me to soak a piece of a cotton ball in remover and place it on my finger and then proceed to do the rest of the fingers on my hand (with the cotton balls all staying on the nails). By the time you get to your pinky, if you take the cotton ball off of your thumb, all of the polish is gone. It takes off even the darkest polishes quickly!
{Hi Sugarplum!} says
I can't wait to go cotton ball sheaffer's house!!! 😉
Chelsea says
1) You should have a contest for someone to be the slumber party person. 😉
2) There ARE cotton balls that aren't creepy – made out of a different material and actually feel nice! But…..
3) Medicine bottle cotton is the WORST! And…
4) An alternate to cotton balls for nail polish remover for your toes when your nails are already done…..tampon with plastic applicator pushed out a tiny bit. 😉
Thanks for making my mornings better!! Have fun unpacking! Post topic – unpacking tips!!!
