Listen…I made these and people went crazy for them.
Crazy.
I’m not sure if it was the creamy frosting or the little bit of caramel underneath…but the entire baking dish of bars were gone in no time flat.
Make these.
Like today.
You will thank me.

Shopping List
1 box of yellow cake mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1/3 cup milk
1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter, divided
1 cup caramel topping (the kind you use on ice cream)
1 stick butter, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease (I use Pam) a 9×13 baking dish. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, beat the cake mix, vegetable oil, egg, milk and one cup of peanut butter with an electric mixer until smooth. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Remove from oven and immediately drizzle the caramel sauce down over the top. Allow to cool completely before frosting.
To make the frosting, beat the softened butter and remaining half a cup of peanut butter with the powdered sugar and milk. Add more milk if the frosting is too thick and more sugar if it’s too thin. Once frosting reaches the desired consistency, frost cooled bars.
Cut into squares and serve. When you’re not enjoying them, keep the bars in the fridge.
I’m telling you…my friends (and my family of four) loved these bars!! These would be so yummy served with a glass of milk as an after school snack too!
Enjoy!
