I have loved linking up with my girls Narci, Andrea and Erika on Fridays! This week, my favorite things are all things I have recently purchased that are fall related :). I have no shame in saying everything fall makes me happy (even on August 8th!). A little fall in my life makes me feel warm and cozy inside.
Hello Apple Butter.
Every year, I buy several jars of Williams-Sonoma’s Pumpkin Pecan Butter and well this year, they have a Cinnamon Apple Butter that has come out to precede the Pumpkin Butter (I might have squealed when I saw it). Last Saturday, we were in Williams-Sonoma just looking around and I bought a jar…and I’ve almost used half of it already. This stuff is so good!! I’ve been using it on my English muffins in the morning but how good would it be on top of a waffle too? This seriously makes me happy each morning.
Speaking of things that make me happy…Bath and Body Works has their Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin body products and all of their fall candles online right now (not in store yet). Goodness gracious, you ladies know how I feel about this stuff. I ordered some as soon as I saw that it was out and my house smells oh so sweet right now. (Some of you don’t care but others of you are not even reading this statement because you are online buying this stuff in bulk…you are my girls and I love you for it.) 🙂
Oh goodness! In my little office right now, I have a Pumpkin Caramel Latte burning while I work and it just makes me happy.
This year when the Pottery Barn Back to School Catalog arrived at our house, I let Kensington look through and pick out a backpack and lunchbox…she picked the cheetah :). Pottery Barn only monograms up to 9 letters and her name is 10, so yesterday, we dropped this off at a friend’s house for her to monogram. My big girl is super excited about her first official big girl backpack and lunchbox!
So Sheaffer is always telling me that I need to check out Sole Society for shoes. She (and a lot of other people in blogger world) rave on and on and on about how cute their shoes are, so when I received an email from Sole Society about reviewing their booties, I agreed but only under one condition…I buy my own pair so that I could honestly review them as a paying customer (because you know I wouldn’t ever tell you about something I don’t completely love!!)…well, I ordered these and let me tell you…they’re fabulous!!!

I think the great heel height is the reason I love these the most..they are not too tall. Mine are the light luggage color but I think the grey and black are really cute too…
I’ve told you guys a million times that other than wedges, booties are my favorite shoe…especially this time of year during transitional weather. I wore these the other day with my boyfriend jeans and short-sleeve tee but then they’ll also look super cute paired with my skinny jeans and sweaters this fall. Just for grins, here are some bootie outfit ideas for you to transition these from August into your late fall wardrobe…
I found these images off of Pinterest and thought they looked like good early fall ways to wear booties (no coats needed). Cute, right?
And then I found these images that are more layered for cold weather. See, booties work from now until snow (or in my case, probably until May) :).

This could very easily be my favorite post this week! If I could bottle up some fall air with a tad bit of sweet cinamon pumkpin deliciousness lingering around me, I would be set for life! And since I'm a kindergarten teacher seeing a adorable bookbag about to monogrammed ( do you know how much we love you for that?? So helpful!) ….makes me happy happy happy! Can't wait to see that sweet girl start kondetgarten!!

My granny used to make us apple butter and give it to us for Christmas with money taped on top. I finally got the recipe, bought the gadget needed and make it. I love a monogram, but when my kids were growing up police/school discouraged full name monogramming on backpacks because it made it easier for a 'stranger' to trick your child by acting like he knows the child by using the full name. I love following your blog, just thought i would mention it.

You are a woman after my own heart! I love fall! I live through summer for fall (although summer time is fabulous–it just isn't fall!) Our big is heading to preschool this year. He has his backpacked picked as well. He choose a Planes one. I am waiting patiently for Kindergarten to get him his own PB one, monogrammed vs full name! And oh those candles make me happy! I want them year round!! Pumpkin cupcake is so delicious!!

so, I used to buy those candles too, or gold canyon, then I switched toScentsy, I loved this even more fir safety, and no black smoke after I.blew it out!!..im not a scentsy rep lol

I'm surprised you haven't mentioned the scent "Leaves" from Bath & Body Works!! It is the epitome of fall!! I've already bought three candles and am about to order the scent for my car as well!! I'll take my fall scents ANYWHERE!!
