Another week down…the year is starting to come to an end. Here is what we did during Week 44…
Day 302: Our neighbors went all out for Halloween. We were walking to school on this morning and snapped this pic…according to the 193 comments on Instagram, I would say the vast majority of you didn’t care for their decor ;).
Day 303: Kensington had her very first field trip on this day! All of the kindergarten classes at her school visited a local pumpkin patch for the day. Andrew and I were so excited to meet them there and spend the day with her. Her favorite part? Riding the school bus. She had never been on a big yellow school bus before and it was by far her favorite part :).
Day 304: Happy Halloween!! We had such a fun Halloween with these two! To see my post about our day, click here.
Day 305: Tis the season for the red cup.
Day 306: This was my computer screen on Sunday morning…also officially known as Orphan Sunday. It was four years ago on that day that I found myself in an Orphan Sunday service and by the time I left, I just knew in my heart that we were called to adopt. This organization does an amazing job educating people on adoption and encouraging people to make their home a forever home for the father and motherless children of the world.
Day 307: Smith and I were doing some early morning shopping at Hobby Lobby when he showed me this giant stocking and told me he needed it because he has been super good this year…and he really has been :).
Day 308: My very favorite sticker to wear.

A few more pics from the week…
As soon as we left Kensington’s field trip, Andrew and I headed straight to Smith’s school for his Halloween Party. We loved spending time with him too! Such a fun (and full!) day!!
Date night! Okay…family date night…Kensington and Smith were with us too :).
Kensington and Griffin were twinning at church on Sunday!!
On Monday, Kensington’s teacher celebrated adoption with the class! They all read A Mother for Choco and then the class took a poll on whether Kensington was having a new brother or a new sister. This absolutely made Kensington’s day! We are so blessed to be in a school and have a teacher who is thoughtful and sweet enough to include our adoption in her curriculum for the day.
And the winner of my Stella & Dot Giveaway is Holly Kalsbeek!! I emailed you this morning Holly, please email me back to claim your prize.

I just can't believe that any holiday is celebrated by decorating with dead children. I had 3 ….. THREE friends of mine lose their children tragically this past year and I can't imagine the angst and pain that they go through when seeing things like this. Talk about insensitive… and totally unnecessary. Just my opinion.

What do you order in your red cup? I like the peppermint mochas but I don't want all the sugar

I love that your husband is able to take time away from work for your children's field trips/class parties. That is such a blessing!

I can't wait for my kids to ride a yellow school bus and shop at Hobby Lobby! And I can't wait to get my next "I Voted" sticker. They don't give those out when you vote via absentee ballot. 🙁
