Cranberry Lime Cocktail
When my friends come over for my annual recipe exchange, I like to offer them a fun punch or cocktail to make things festive. Usually, I make my Candy Cane Punch, but this year, I made a yummy Cranberry Lime Cocktail instead. So easy, so fast, and so delicious both with and without the vodka (this can totally be kid friendly too!). ‘Tis the season for festive drinks!
To make each drink (with alcohol), all you do is take each glass and add in one shot of vodka, about half a cup of cranberry juice, half a cup of Sprite or 7-Up, a squeeze of half a lime and load it down with ice and frozen cranberries.
Done!
You can also just take out the vodka and make this alcohol-free by filling your glass half with juice and half with soda and proceeding from there.
Either way, it’s delicious and refreshing!
I saw several cocktail recipes on Pinterest that used frozen cranberries as the ice for the drink, but I wasn’t sure if that would really keep things cold enough, so I added both ice and frozen cranberries to make sure things stayed really chilly…either way, it’s super cute and festive to see some frozen cranberries floating around inside the drink.
DELICIOUS. These were delicious!
Oh these look soooo good and so festive! Need to make these!
I made something very similar over the Thanksgiving holiday and used PEAR vodka. It was so yummy and very seasonal!
I was just looking up recipes for a cran-lime cocktail last night! I should have known Mix & Match Mama would have a twist on one!!
Yum! That sounds so good and I love the frozen cranberries idea!
Do cranberries had flavor if they aren't muddled? I made a sangria with them and wasn't sure if it added flavor or was just for looks. π
The cranberries are totally just for looks!
Thought so…thanks!! ?
merry christmas shay! I love all things lime..this looks so yummy AND festive!do you use cranberry juice cocktail or 100% cranberry juice?–stacey
Both would work but cranberry juice cocktail is typically more readily available.
Hey Shay,
My name is Queila and I’m sort of a new reader of your blog. I made my way here because of your adoption posts but I have to say… I am hooked on your recipes. Every time I have tried one of them it was such a big hit! You make me look good in front of my guests girl… This afternoon I hosted a little luncheon for around 15 people and I replicated Madeley’s b-party menu: the sweet corn turkey chili, corn bread, Caesar salad, chips and guacamole and this delicious cranberry like cocktail. I also made the pumpkin snicker doodle for dessert. Everything tasted delicious and everyone was happy. Just thought I should let yo know. You gotta a fan in me!
