I’m baaaaaack!
Whew! That was quite the little adventure I was just on! We’re so thankful for our trip to China and even more thankful to be home now as a family of five :).
As for food…I’ve had nothing but authentic Chinese food for the last 3 weeks and before that, I was eating Christmas food…so needless to say, I’m ready for some good old fashioned comfort food.
This week’s menu is made up of my favorite comfort foods…all easy to make, all quick cooking and all delicious.
I’ve missed you friends…I’m so glad to be home to you too.
My mama’s Chicken and Dumplings are the epitome of comfort food. On a cold winter day, nothing warms you up quite like this bowl of goodness.
This Hamburger Stroganof is one of Andrew’s favorite comfort foods. My favorite part? How simple it is to whip up on a weeknight!
If you’ve never made a King Ranch Casserole before, you should! So yummy!
This Sausage Corn Chowder is my favorite soup! On a cold night, there is just nothing that beats it.
My Spaghetti with Meat Sauce (either beef or ground turkey) is the very favorite of the boys in our family. They love, love, love spaghetti night!
And for a little dessert this week…one of my yummy bundt cakes that would go perfectly with a cup of coffee on a cold afternoon…
…my Almond with Strawberry Jam Bundt Cake. Oh goodness! The deliciousness!
And two little bonus recipes for your week…
Snickerdoodle Monkey Bread for your Saturday morning breakfast.
And a little Blueberry Banana Bread just because :).
Happy Monday! It’s so good to be home!

I always love your meal planning MOndays, and this week I just couldn't help but think – how fun will it be when you're able to put "One of Ashby's favorite meals!" next to a recipe?! So happy!

Welcome home Shull 5!! I am literally sitting here reading this post while eating re-heated Sausage Corn Chowder! I love how this soup just gets better with age. Mmmmm!

Welcome back!!! Our family (and our dinner table) has missed your recipes! I echo the comment above….can't wait for Ashby to determine her favorite M&MM recipe! I think King Ranch Chicken and The Bachelor is just what the doctor ordered for tonight!
