Last year, I hosted a little Valentine’s party for Kensington and her sweet friends. All of the girls were between the ages of 3 and 5 and they came over for lunch one weekday afternoon. We didn’t do anything fancy…just celebrated pink, red, hearts and love. Kensington talked about this party all year long (probably more than she did her own birthday party!), so I thought it was worth blogging about again. If you have some little girls in your life, maybe you need to host a little Valentine’s party too?
Maggie, Molly, Presley, Kensington, Ebby Lee, Blakely and Presley
Such sweet girls!
And the following 5 pics were taken by Narci too…that’s a perk to inviting your bestie/photographer’s daughter to your party :).
Menu
PB&J
Goldfish Crackers
Strawberries
Cupcakes
We had so much fun at lunch! They could not have been more precious!
After lunch, I took the girls outside to play because the weather was so nice…
Lunch, outside and girls.
This party was not about being fancy or complicated…just about being with sweet girls and celebrating a sweet holiday.

Shay, I'm not a mother but I just wanted to say how much I love and admire you for being so intentional about creating fun, fuss-free memories for your kids. After your posted about Smith's most recent birthday party I went back and read your other birthday party posts and love how simple yet put-together your party style is. Something I will definitely keep in mind when I'm entertaining down the road! Thank you!!

First off, love the idea of a girls Valentine's Day party, but most of all, LOVE how simple you kept it. I'm thinking I need to have some sort of party like this for my daughter (also adopted from China) when she is off of her liquid only diet in 5 weeks. Thanks for sharing and keeping it real!

Thank you for sharing this party! I think this is the most "attainable" party I've seen you do, which makes me feel good. THIS is a party even I could do. THANK YOU!
Plus, I really love that you served PB&J and goldfish. Even foodie bloggers need an easy lunch with kids!
