Happy Friday!
As always, I’m linking up with my girls Narci, Andrea and Erika and their Friday Favorites.  
I love that Valentine’s Day is on Saturday this year.  We have really big plans of eating dinner at a diner with my kids and parents…sexy, right?

I love sharing this holiday with all my loves…but especially this one…

Today’s Favorites?  A list of things we both seem to love these days (and by we…I mean you and me!).
Y’all, I had over 450 comments on my binge watching post this week.  I am apparently not the only one OBSESSED with binge watching a good TV show.  You need to go back and read through the comments, there are so many good suggestions!  The feedback was just awesome :).  I love that you love binge watching TV.
I actually got out a piece of paper and started writing down the suggestions so that over time, Andrew and I can watch them all.  I think we’re going to start with Downton Abbey and Modern Family.  But seriously, after that, we’ll move on to more of your suggestions.  You guys made that post so fun!!!

I also got a ton of feedback on these tees too!  My pink stripe and blue stripe arrived and I loved them so much that I bought the black stripe too (next post, binge ordering striped shirts…).  So many of you said these tees are the absolute best and now, I completely agree!!  (For a size reference, I bought x-smalls.)
They come in 18 different colors :).

I bought a bottle of Essie’s new Matte Collection polish…and then added a top coat to make it a little shiny.  I really like the color a lot!  This is Comfy in Cashmere and it’s a really nice neutral.  It’s pretty matte too but I thought a little shiny top coat would really finish it off.  If you like matte…or Essie…or polish…or whatever, I found it at Target :).

This is just my little PSA: I bought one of these Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Sticks right before Christmas and I am obsessed!  I bought Sand Dune at the time (and later bought Golden Pink too).  Talk about eye shadow for dummies…you just rub it over your lids and bam, you’re done!  It doesn’t fade or smudge and delivers that famous Bobbi Brown effortless look.  Love, love, love.  You can throw it in your bag and go too…super easy to transport!  This should be your Valentine’s gift to yourself :).

Well, Valentine’s Day is just about over and then we’ll all be thinking green, green, green!  If you’re not following me on Pinterest, you should be!  I’m pinning away everything Irish and fabulous right now!  (Along with a ton of other spring things!)

So, my husband is a Chuck Taylor aficionado.  He pretty much collects them…since they never go out of style, he still wears some from when we were first married (I tell ya, he’s obsessed!).  Well, the other day, I made a comment about how I’ve never worn them and he scoffed.  He kept telling me how comfy they are and how much I would love them.  
Well…being the obsessively neat and tidy person that I am, I didn’t think I wanted white (fear of a child spilling something on them/stepping on them/throwing them in the mud…you know, mom life stuff), so I looked up on Pinterest and decided grey was my color :).  
Aren’t they cute?!  I think they’ll be the perfect little spring shoe for me to wear (and then transition into summer with my shorts).  See…my grey inspiration…
…cute, right?  All of the colors are really cute…and if you’re one of those wild types that likes to live on the edge, you could go for white too :).  As for me, I’m so happy in my first pair of Converse.  (And psssssst: online it says to size down by a half size which I did…instead of an 8, I ordered a 7.5 and they fit perfectly.  Also, my color is called “dolphin” online.)

And for dinner tonight, I’m making Greek Tacos…
…ground turkey, hummus, fresh veggies and Feta…all in a taco shell.  Hello fabulous.

    Just a fun little trick about ordering converse: I have small feet, I typically wear size 6. In converse the largest kids size (I believe it's 5) fits me perfectly! It's cheaper to go that route!

    Speaking of the cream shadow sticks (which I must try!), what kind of mascara do you use these days? Mine is flakey and you always have such good suggestions. I love the grey Chuck Taylor's!! I'm making Greek pitas for lunch. Yum!

    Love, love my chuck taylors – I have the glittery red ones – think Dorothy 🙂 and I always get tons of compliments on them!!! My daughter collects them too and has tons of colors, even the white.

    I need to try the cream shadow stick! I've been using the little cream shadow pots and apply it quickly with a brush and you're so right. It doesn't fade at all! I am obsessed!

    You will love Downtown Abby!!! super good and the converse…I have gone through several pairs of the grey ones!! I wear them with EVERYTHING!!! I recently bought a pair that doesn't have laces and they are amazing!

    I've had a few pair of Converse over the years. I love them & their classic style but they can also be really hard on the feet, insoles are my friends in those shoes!

    Here's a funny, opposite coincidence – I'm a converse aficionado (I've worn them for over 20 yrs & have many different pairs!) & I just bought my husband his first pair! I bought him a light grayish blue in low tops! And actually, I just ordered myself fuchsia sequin low tops yesterday, I can't wait to see them in person! :). But, honestly, my grey low tops are my favorite bc they do go w/ everything! My greys are the double tongue. I don't like that extra tongue, but the insides are pink satin & the laces are nicer w/ sparkly gold on the edges, fun & cute! 🙂
    I hope you love yours as much as I do! Also, my 8 yr old son has only ever worn converse. He's had low tops, high tops, & a couple of pair of the no ties too & I adore them on him!

    I agree with Sheaffer, you have to watch Grey's Anatomy! I've watched it from the first episode & love it. It started when friends, sex in the city, & er were ending & I needed a new show to fill those gaps! I think it's my favorite. We really need netflix (we have direct tv w/ hbo & I didn't think we needed both) bc most of those shows you mentioned, plus a few others are ones I wanted to watch, but didn't have the time, so I was thinking about binge watching a few weeks before your post! A friend & I were discussing it bc they are binge watching breaking bad, which is one I would too.

    I LOVE converse (we call them Converse in California) I have red ones and gray ones! Love them!
    I tried watching Downton Abbey….but kept falling asleep. I tried watching the 1st episode 3 different times, but I couldn't stay awake. Modern Family is funny!

    Laura Mercier also makes an eye shadow stick that is almost idential to the Bobbi Brown one you posted. I have it in Sugar Frost and LOVE it!

    chucks… we love chucks at our house! my boy has lots of fun colors but I think the green ones are his favorite. me on the other hand… I bough a pair on the kids section on sale b/c I did not know if I would like them being so flat, so I bought boring black and let me tell you… I LOVED them, but like I said… black is boring so I mod-podged them and added silver glitter and now they are my FAVORITE go-to shoe (especially with my black tulle skirt!)

    Question about those tees. I read an earlier post that you machine wash and machine dry all your clothes but these say lay flat. Have you tried to machine dry them and if so, how did they hold up?

    I don't get the Chuck hype. I tried some on one time and they were so uncomfortable and stiff. I love the look though. Do you have to "break them in?"

    I am a Chuck Taylor feen as well. I love the gray one's and now I really want a yellow pair and a mint green pair. & It is my goal this year to bake every single one of your 100 bars…I even made a new batch today…if I gain 200 lbs by next year, I'm blaming you, Shay ; )

    I went out to a restaurant tonight with a group of my teacher friends for happy hour. As I'm sitting there, I watch this cute family walk in the door and literally gasped! I said "OH MY GOSH! That's the Mix and Match Mama!" I continued to nerd-out while my friends looked at me like I was nuts! Anyways, I worked up some courage (and maybe the margarita helped here) to go say hi. I don't even even remember what I stuttered, because I was so excited but Shay and her husband were so sweet. Thank you for being so kind and opening your life to complete strangers! I'm constantly inspired by your love of life and appreciation for the little things. Keep it up 🙂

    Why do guys always give us ladies
    "grief" about all of our shoes when they have MANY pairs of the same shoes (chuck sneakers!) in every color? Case in point my husband owns 47 pairs of chucks! At least my shoes are different styles and different colors! I love my husband but I do not like chucks. Shay they do look good on you!
