Root Beer Bars.
Chocolate brownie like bars with a creamy Root Beer Frosting…yup, this does it for me.
My kiddos loved it , I loved it…and I’m pretty sure you’ll love it too.

Shopping List
1 box chocolate cake mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 cup chocolate chips
1 stick of butter, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
2 to 3 tablespoons Root Beer
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease (I use Pam) a 9×13 baking dish. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, vegetable oil and eggs with an electric mixer until creamy. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared baking dish and bake about 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out mostly clean (do not over bake).
Remove from oven and cool completely before frosting.
To make the frosting, beat your butter, powdered sugar and Root Beer with an electric mixer. Add more powdered sugar if it’s too thin or more Root Beer if it’s too thick.

This root beer frosting looks so good and creamy! I have baked a cola cake with cola in the frosting, so I know these brownies will be delicious.
