It’s been a BIG week at the Shull house! Yesterday morning, we went to court and Ashby once and for all, officially became ours :). And today, we take Ashby to her hand specialist for the very first time. I’m going to wait and talk about both things next week…so for now, here is our life lately…
Just two sisters in pigtails with their stuffed dogs watching Monster’s Inc before church :).
I’ve completely failed as a parent. He came downstairs all dressed for the day and I about cried. I blame my Yankee loving husband…
First stop on Monday morning, the dentist for Smith and Ashby. Smith did great! I’m always so proud of him.
I had no idea how Ashby would do (considering she screamed during her first pediatrician appointment, I had my concerns…). That being said, sweet girl did so good!! Ashby let our dentist and hygienist both look in her mouth, check out her teeth and apply her vitamins. The next time we go, we’ll try and have them do an actual cleaning and maybe x-rays but for now, she had a very positive experience! I think seeing Smith go first and the fact that The Little Mermaid was playing on the ceiling above her head helped a lot :).
She’s so happy! She loves her new toothbrush!
Showing me her teeth 🙂
When it was time to pick up Kensington from school, we woke Ashby up (hence the sleepy face) and walked. Smith loves being a big brother and is constantly looking for ways to take care of Ashby. I love that he is able to be both a big and little brother…he does great at both roles.
We played on the playground with the Slaughter kids before walking home. Climbing on top of the monkey bars is apparently a big deal when you’re this age…
Love my girl! She loves playing at the park too!
On Tuesday, I waited in carpool line to pick up Kensington, but ended up picking up a leprechaun instead.
The weather was so nice that we played outside from 3:30 to 6:00!
Bowen and Nixon came over to play while the girls were at ballet…these two came around the corner holding hands :).
And then they enjoyed their snack together too. Such sweet friends.
And since Kensington was in school on Monday morning during the other two kiddos’ dentist appointments, she went in for her cleaning on Wednesday afternoon. Love this girl too :).
So, there you have it…life lately is good :).
Prayers appreciated for our big day today! It’s going to be a long day for our sweet girl.
On the foodie blog…
…we made a dessert pizza for Easter. My kids thought this was the coolest thing ever :). Don’t like jelly beans? You can use the method to make any type of dessert pizza you like! Sometimes, we just put kiwi and strawberries on top…yum!
