Easter Pics!


Well, we have thoroughly introduced Ashby to every Easter tradition in the books!  This girl dyed eggs, ate candy, went to a festival, hunted eggs and of course, learned about Jesus.  We had a fun filled Easter marathon of activities…
On Saturday morning, we sat outside and dyed our Easter eggs.  Last year, I read on Pinterest that if you dye brown eggs, the color will be more intense.  So, that’s what we do and it totally works!  The only down side is that you have to leave the eggs in the dye longer with brown eggs but the color is really pretty when you’re done.

Everyone was sitting in my lap while we waited for the dye to dry.  And Kensington did Ashby’s hair :).

“Heyyyyyy!”…so, Kensington really enjoyed the socializing aspect to our church’s annual Easter Egg-stravaganza!  On Saturday afternoon, we went to the festivities and enjoyed every minute.  Love being with my girlies!

Of course, we loved the petting zoo part the most.

At first, Ashby didn’t understand what we were doing…

…but she watched her big brother and big sister and then got the hang of it.

All done!  It’s hard getting three kids to all look at the camera and smile :).

 Our Easter morning was very rainy and dreary, so we took our annual pics inside. I love these three so much!!  After this we headed to church before meeting my family for our annual Easter lunch.

 Smith and his ladies.  Right now, Smith is the only boy in our family…but I don’t think he minds that much :).

The Shulls are notorious for not getting a good family Easter pic…

…so, we try several times :).
(And I’m updating this at 6:00 AM: I just saw that my dress is now 40% off!  If you’re looking for a comfy dress that won’t wrinkle, this is the one!  I bought an XS for a size reference.)

 We went back to my aunt’s house and the kids opened their Easter baskets from Lovie and Papa Jay.  They were filled with the best stuff.  Lovie always does the best job with Easter baskets!

We chased bubbles in the back…

…and hunted eggs in the front.

I was sitting in Andrew’s lap and noticed our feet…the couple that wears grey Converse together, stays together.

We ended our Easter with a little birthday celebration for Andrew with my family.  
Such a fun day full of family, food, laughs and lots and lots and lots of Easter candy!

    What a fun Easter! Your dress was beautiful but I love your shoes. We had a busy Easter weekend. It was my grandson's first Easter. Of course, he's only 4 months but I bought him an Easter basket anyway. Toys and clothes. 😉

    Looks like you had a very blessed Easter. Your family is truly beautiful on the inside as well as on the outside. Speaking of the outside ( LOL) where did you get Ashby's white sandals?? Btw her whole Easter outfit was perfect (just like her!) but I am looking for white sandals for my 4 yr old. Thanks! Cristina

    I'm hesitant to ask but you are tiny and look amazing in everything. have you had any cosmetic surgery boobs/ stomach?

      Haha! If those shoes make me look that good, I'm going to wear them every single day :)! I bought them four or five years ago for Easter. They're Steve Madden and the reason I wore them on this day was because they're patent leather and it was raining all morning…and patent works well in the rain.

    Very random, but I noticed your parent's pool does not have a fence—this is an ongoing discussion in my family right now as the grandparents have a pool (no fence) and young grandkids who stay with them often. Would love to hear your thoughts on this as to why or why not it is necessary. Thanks Shay!

    I have shoes exactly that colour – peep toe sling back heels (no T-strap like yours, though). I never thought to wear them with navy but something about that outfit is just so right! Thanks for the outfit inspiration!!

    Is this your aunts backyard in the pic with the bubbles? I LOVE the flooring…is it stamped concrete?! Is love info on who did it if your aunt has any. (We're in DFW).
