Happy Wednesday, friends!
Okay, as we wind down the 2025 blogging year, it would not be complete without my annual HOLIDAY HOME TOUR 🙂 .
It’s always a blessing to “do life with you” ladies each day on the internet. If you were here locally, I would certainly enjoy inviting you in to our home this holiday season too. We would be listening to MY CHRISTMAS PLAYLIST (of course!) and drinking coffee (or a festive cocktail) together as well. It would be a DELIGHT!
Since I can’t have you all over, I’m going to invite you in.
Make sure you check out my HOLIDAY HOME TOUR + TIPS AND TRICKS. If you want to know my best tips for decorating easily, storing items, displaying Santa photos, swapping out pillow covers, and SO MUCH MORE, make sure you read that post too.
Per usual, I have a few captions but mostly this is just photos.
Also per usual, I walked around on multiple days/nights snapping so many random photos. Some of these are from the evening, some the day…there are way too many, so I hope you have nowhere to be 😉 .
I hope you’re comfy, cozy, listening to my playlist, sippin’ something festive and ready to come on inside.
Welcome to my 2025 HOLIDAY HOME TOUR…

‘Tis the first Christmas with my new front door, and I am LOVING it!

So warm and cozy! Happy Christmas!! Do yall hire someone to do your outdoor lights or do you have a super tall ladder?
We have a little house without much room for decor, but what I have been LOVING is to pull up YouTube and search for “__ ambience.” There is relaxing music and images for whatever you want, like British Pub Ambience or Cozy Winter Castle Ambience or truly anything you can think of! And it’s so relaxing to add to the room.
Mix and Match Mama says
We have a super tall ladder, but we have used the same fireman to put up our outside decorations for 16 years! He’s put lights on three houses for us 🙂 . Looking that up on Youtube now!

Mix and Match Mama says
I had no idea until I read your comment, so I just went to look and there are 166,267 photos/videos on my phone right now. I’m appalled and impressed with myself at the same time. Bahaha! Also, my kids will LOVE that it ends in “67”.
Alana says
Hahaha I’m impressed! I was feeling like my 2,255 was a lot but that feels pretty minuscule now. Lol at the 67.. I’m glad my 4 year old is too young for those trends!

Mix and Match Mama says
My grandmother painted those a few years before I was born. She passed them down to me. Aren’t they lovely?
Blake G says
As always, your home is so beautiful!
Have you ever talked about hosting larger groups for holidays? Where does everyone sit? All together in one room or spread out? We are able to add tables to our dining room, but I’m always looking for ideas.
Mix and Match Mama says
That’s a great question, and I don’t know that we’ve addressed it. We have done it many many different ways. One time, we even emptied our great room downstairs and brought in several big round tables (putting allllll of the furniture and rugs in the garage). This year, I am hosting my family of around 30, so we will spread out between the dining room, kitchen, bar, I will add a table in the great room, and we’ll be able to use the patio table too (with the heaters and warmer weather this year, it’s going to work).
Ashley says
Shay! Your home is stunning for the holidays! Thanks for giving me some inspiration ideas for my home for next year! May you and your family have a Happy Holiday Season!!

Did Andrew hunt all the wild animals in your house? The moose in the entry nook is amazing, and I love the festive hats! 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
He did!
Madeline says
Also, this isn’t related to this post in the slightest but I had asked you about the vibration plate a couple weeks back. Well I ended up getting one and used it twice and decided to send it back. I get motion sickness and it made me feel so ill! I know you suffer from sea sickness so just a heads up if you were to get one. I hadn’t read anything about that happening to other people when I was looking into it before buying.
Mix and Match Mama says
Really?! That is GOOD TO KNOW! Thank you so much for sharing this with me!!
Kay says
It’s the most wonderful post of the year! Truly, this one is my absolute favorite. I just love seeing your beautiful and cozy home. I’m a huge seasonal decorator too, and I never get tired of seeing how others decorate. We do a little winter village every year. (You know, the little houses and shops that light up from inside!). My oldest, now home from sophomore year in college, so happily helped me set it up this year. It makes me so happy that these little traditions from when my kids were little have lasted this long. Happy happy holidays to the Shulls! xo
Diane says
I love the peaceful vibe of a room with no television. Just curious who uses your front living area —so cozy! Sending.Christmas blessings from Waco!
Mix and Match Mama says
It varies. Andrew does his quiet time in there every morning and has his coffee. Sometimes, I’ll read or work on my macbook. Other times, the kids will sit in there for a little peace and quiet while they do their homework. It just kind of depends. I love that vibe too!
Helen says

These pictures are so festive and cheerful! But I just have to know…was that a fern on your patio? Still alive?:)
Mix and Match Mama says
It is! That thing is HEARTY! It does really well until mid-winter. I try and baby it, but I can’t always get it to stay year around without putting it in the garage to stay warm.
Debra says
Your home is just beautiful! I wish I had your talent for design and decorating!
Bren says
Just beautiful, Shay! I look forward to your home tour each year!
A question or maybe it’s an idea for a post next year: Would love to hear more about your front room, library. The books, the pictures on the walls – it’s just so beautiful!
So excited for tomorrow’s post!! 🙂

That’s an excellent post idea. Thank YOU for suggesting it!

What a beautiful home you have created ~ with such personal touches! Can you please share a link for your advent calendar house?
Mix and Match Mama says
Andrew and I bought that 12 years (or maybe more?) ago in Belgium!
Sarah Yaffe says
Absolutely stunning, Shay! Your home is so cozy! Where is the new red and white rectangular pillow that’s on your bed from? I love the size and pattern! Thanks for sharing your Holiday Home Tour with us! I think these posts a Day in the Life posts are my very favorites of the whole year! Does Andrew still take a day off from work to help you get all the Christmas decor from the storage unit and decorate or is his main job just putting up your big tree? I have to make several trips to my husband’s storage room at his office to get all of my decor so I’m wondering how you do it all in mostly a day. I’m thinking maybe I should rent a U-U-Haul and try to knock it out in one day. What is the most efficient process for decorating if you’re doing it mostly yourself? My kids will help me decorate the trees and set up the Christmas blow up outside our house but that’s about it.
Mix and Match Mama says
Thank you so much, Sarah! That was actually a new find this year. That pillow is from Pottery Barn. And yes, Andrew almost always takes a day off to get our house ready for Christmas, but this year, November 1 fell on a Saturday, so he just helped me all day that day instead. When he tore his bicep, he went to the storage unit and got all of the items and then put the tree up immediately (to get it up before surgery), so that actually happened before Halloween. I couldn’t do it without Andrew! He does the big tree, puts up the tree in my office (I decorate it, but he puts it up), does the lights on the trees by the front door, puts the lights on my balcony, the office exterior entrance, swaps out all the rugs, hangs the big red bow…he does so much. I think what makes it most efficient is having his help (for sure!), having all of the items already at our house the day we start to decorate (we don’t go get the items first, we always get them in advance), and then putting the items in the same spot each year (I don’t have to think about it).
Whitney says
Do you plan on passing down some of these decorations when your kids are older? I love some of the vintage ceramic pieces and the little houses! Your house is so cozy!
Mix and Match Mama says
If they want some, then absolutely! I don’t have any passed on to me from my mom, but if my kids want some, I would happily pass them on.
Brianne Cole says
Beautifully decorated. Thanks for sharing.
Question – where are your duvet and white quilt from?
Mix and Match Mama says
Pottery Barn!
Emi says
Just lovely! I know you did a post a while back about it, but where do you get your TV art? I’ve been using Etsy, but I’m wondering if there’s some other place I could purchase some. Not a fan of what I’ve found on YouTube.
Merry Christmas!
Mix and Match Mama says
I have a Frame TV, so it’s built in as one of the features. I didn’t even know you could do that on Etsy. So cool!
Emi says
Ours offers a subscription but it’s meh so we’ve opted out. Give Etsy a try! They even have some animated art.
Kristin Lyngaas says
Just gorgeous ❤️💚 Hope you get to enjoy it! Merry Christmas to my favorite blogger ❤️
