It’s Thurs-day! And that means…
Scandal is on tonight. That’s what I think about when I wake up on Thursday mornings…Scandal is on.
I couldn’t pick between these three :). I loved them all! Happy (Scandal) Thursday!
Here’s a little life lately…
On Saturday morning, I walked by during breakfast and noticed that my girl has my hair :). Little beachy waves on my girl.
Swim lessons and a baseball game in one morning can really wipe a kid out!
On Saturday night, we celebrated Catherine’s birthday at my parents’ house…and everyone brought their “kids”. My kids love playing with their “cousins”. 🙂

Sunday morning mugshot before church!
Andrew was asked to teach the kids’ service this last week and was told to make it sports related…so, he brought some props and picked two special volunteers…Kensington and Luke…who Andrea and I just know are going to get married one day :).
Sunday afternoon in my swimsuit, drinking coffee, checking on my veggies…
Ashby had the best time at the park on Monday with friends! She loves to swing!
Tuesday afternoon play date with Bowen!
Tuesday night, we had Kindergarten Roundup for Smith…I looked down and saw my sweet girls :).
That’s our life lately. Throw in a 9 hour neighborhood wide power outage that made things a little warm, and you have our week in a nutshell :).
Dinner tonight…

I haven't commented in a while, but I just wanted to say that Ashby's smile is the most beautiful thing. You can just see the love, security and happiness beaming out!
I laughed when you wrote that Kensington is going to marry Luke. One of my best friends' brothers married a girl he had known since they were babies. Their parents were best friends although they lived in different states, and always teased that they would grow up and get married. They ran into each other in college and had an instant connection – and have been married for 30 years now! So you never know!

My daughter used to have very curly hair when she was younger and now it's turned to waves.. when I braid it or she sleeps on it a little damp it gets a little curlier.

Wow! Such a sweet family!! Enjoyed reading. My 15 year old daughter has the EXACT same hair as Kensington! I love it!! I have a question for you: how does she get it cut? I'm taking my daughter on Sunday and we need some ideas! She currently has about the same length as Kensington and she has it all cut in a straight line. Does Kensington have layers in her hair? It's so pretty! Such a beautiful girl 🙂

Shay, I've been reading for some time now and I love this (and your foodie) blog. As a mother of two littles myself, I just find it all to be so relatable. Anyway, I have been thinking this for weeks now and am finally getting around to say this.
The look on Ashby's face in the photos you post of her say more than words ever could. Her smile lights up her entire face and is the smile of a little girl who feels safe, and happy and loved. I need to watch Scandal! I always got into it when it was on tv, but I never sat down and watched it from the beginning. It will be next. Is Downton Abbey on your to do list? As much as you love all things British, I think you'd like it! I just started it, and I love it already!
