Hey there October 1st. I’m so happy to see you!
I’m pretty sure of a few things today.
1. I’m going to make my kids take a picture next to our pumpkins on the porch.
2. I’m going to enjoy a pumpkin spice latte.
3. I’m going to wear booties and jeans.
This is life lately…
Have I mentioned lately how blessed I am to be this girl’s mama? Like, I’m totally smitten and over the moon about it :).
On Friday mornings, I’ve been taking her to the park after we volunteer at school. She loves it!
We randomly had the best little morning at the grocery store on Saturday. Smith had an 8:00 AM baseball game (ugh!), so after it was over, we ran into our local grocery store to grab a few things…and they had Halloween stuff out :). We really enjoyed drinking our coffee and such and checking everything out. Kensington loves to get into the spirit!
She keeps telling me that she’s practicing writing her name :).
On Saturday afternoon, we hit up Oktoberfest! Here we are watching the weenie dog races! The dogs run from one of their owners to another owner at the other end. They’re so cute!
We heart Oktoberfest!
The Shull five :).
This kid was diggin’ his root beer!
Ashby’s first time at a petting zoo. Smith is just soooooo sweet with her! He goes above and beyond to make sure she’s having fun and understands what we’re doing. He got her to pet the donkey :).
We couldn’t pry Kensington away from the pony. She brushed it the entire time we were in there.
Such a good big brother :).
We stopped to shoot some hoops…
…and drink more root beer…
…and everyone got a glitter tattoo!
Two big cheers for Oktoberfest!
And we looooved running into those Slaughter kids!
On Sunday, it was two bow heads and a brother :).
(Psssst: for those of you who are interested, my cousin owns One Stop Bow Shop and that’s where we get all of the fab bows…these are burlap!).
And then after church…they were worms instead of kids.
This is us at the grocery store. I shop…she stacks.
And lately, we’ve been spending our evenings watching these boys play ball :).
Apparently, our master bath is the perfect place to play. Smith brings toys in there all the time…
…and Ashby plays soccer :).
On Tuesday night, I spoke at my parents’ church’s women’s fall banquet about food and Jesus. Kensington was my date :).
The theme for the night was “wild about you”…hence all of the animals. Love my beautiful mama!
And I was so excited that my sweet friends Hilary and Kara came to hear me too! We grew up together in this church, so it was so special to have them there that night.
That’s life lately!

Thought of you today, first when we ran into your mom and canton and second when I saw a sign that said, "Happy Pumpkin Spice Latte Season!"

I think of Anne Shirley every October first, so I love the way you began this post. 🙂 Playing some bloggity catch-up now and I feel like I've missed you. P.S. What is UP with toys in the master bath?? Our England master (excuse me, en suite) was so tiny I could stand in the middle and touch the walls. Here in Tulsa our master is larger than Annie's nursery and I step on balls, bears, and dollies EVERY SINGLE DAY.
