Happy Monday, friends!
I hope you all had the very best weekend.
I have a little DAY IN THE LIFE to start our week.
You know the drill, I picked a random day on my calendar and documented it for you.
This time, I randomly selected Wednesday, April 22nd…spoiler alert, it wasn’t that exciting and felt very “normal”.
As I was going through and adding my little captions, I decided to add some additional blog posts that reference different points throughout my day 🙂 .
Here’s a little look…

Good morning! My alarm went off at 4:00 AM on this day, so that I could attend my early morning workout class. I got up, took out the dogs, made some coffee and settled in with my Bible time.
{KEYS TO MY PEACEFUL MORNINGS}
After that, I got dressed…

…and drove to my 5:30 hot yoga class.
Phones aren’t allowed inside the yoga studio, so I snapped this pic for you in the parking lot. Water, towel, yoga mat, check!
{10 KEYS TO GETTING ‘WORKOUT READY’}
After my very hot and sweaty class, I got back in the car…

…and turned on my favorite radio station to listen to my very favorite on air personalities. Thanks to their app, I can rewind the live show, so I always rewind it to 6:00 AM when they go on air. These three guys here are one of the HIGHLIGHTS of my day 🙂 .
It’s now 6:30 AM, and I drove to…

…my neighborhood grocery store…

…I grabbed coffee from the Starbucks inside and a few groceries for dinner. I also picked up new flowers. Andrew always brings me home flowers each week from said grocery store, but the flowers this time already looked sad. I bought a new batch to freshen things up. {HOW I SAVOR GROCERY SHOPPING}
I drove home (at this point, my two big kids are already at school…they leave really early!)…

…and proceeded to boil some eggs for my lunch later in the day as I “piddled” around my house and got Ashby and Mades up and going.

I replaced my flowers…

…much better…

…added in a load of laundry and then…

…headed up to my desk to check email/blog comments/begin my work day…

…up next, it was time to take the dogs on a walk. On this day, it was just these two as Frenchie was still sleeping and Poppy didn’t seem interested.
I walked the dogs and then…

…snapped a pic of this girl as she was heading out the door for school. Andrew took her to school on this day.
After Ashby and Andrew left…

…I went in to make my bed…

…it’s always so much better to have a made bed!
After that, I showered and got ready for the day…

…typical weekday spring uniform: GAUZE TOP + TENNIS SKIRT.
After I was dressed, it was about 8:35 and time for me…

…to take this girl to school. I didn’t put on makeup when I got dressed because I was about to head to the dermatologist.

On Wednesdays, she has tennis after school, so she tries to dress for both 🙂 .
On our way to her school…

…we listened to Mamma Mia because she is my musical theater kiddo and equally as obsessed with this movie as I am.
I dropped her off and came home…

…to do that mom thing where you take two minutes to “reset” after the kids head to school.
The house was in order, so I went up to my office for a few minutes before leaving and heading just up the street…

…for a quick chemical peel. I typically do about two chem peels a year. I like them because not only are they pretty effective, but they are super fast, have zero downtime, and they’re affordable. I walked in the dermatologist’s door at 9:45…

…and was back home eating a protein bar by 10:34.
I had some calls to make, so I…

…hopped on my walking pad while I talked (something I do every day while I work)…

…work, work, work, work until…

…I stopped for lunch at 1:00. I had those four hardboiled eggs with some kale, salt and vinegar pistachios, half an avocado, and a little of Trader Joe’s hot honey mustard dressing.

I checked on that laundry after lunch…

…then let the dogs outside…

…they’re always so happy when we go outside!
I brewed myself another…

…cup of coffee and had two pieces of the pistachio toffee from Trader Joe’s and then…

…worked the rest of the afternoon…

Around 3:45, I put on a little makeup and headed to pick up Mades and a friend from tennis (the other mom had picked them up from school and dropped them at tennis).
At 4:15, I had two girls in tow, so we headed to…

…Swig so they could get sugary concoctions to take back to my house.
Those two girls headed outside to ride bikes while…

…the two of us headed back to work.
At 5:00…

…I cleaned up my desk and shut down my office for the day.
I headed down to the kitchen…

…to whip up some meatballs for dinner…

…I made my EASY BAKED MEATBALLS but added a bit of shallot to them this time instead of basil…

…I popped those in the oven (and then when they came out, I stuck them in the slow cooker to keep them warm for everyone) and then…

…pulled that same load of laundry out of the dryer…

…and placed it on my bed to fold. Except…

…Andrew came home from work and talking to him sounded like way more fun than folding that laundry.
While we were in the kitchen, a package was delivered on my porch and when I opened it…

…it was a hat that our dear friends on Nantucket sent me because they know I love that song AND Jesus and America too 😉 . The perfect beach hat.
Meatballs in the oven, check!
All three girls home from school, check!
Andrew home, check!
Smith on his way home.
At this point, I could have A: folded that laundry or B:…

…sit on the patio with Andrew for a minute and watch the latest episode of Summer House. I went with B. Hahaha! If you’re watching Summer House this season too, then YOU UNDERSTAND.
Smith got home and…

…I popped sweet potato fries in the air fryer, broccoli in the oven and dinner was ready.
The six Shulls sat down to have dinner.
After dinner, we all cleaned up the kitchen…

…and after that, it was time to…

…shower and get ready for bed. Did I fold that laundry? Nope. I just moved it into my closet and put it away the next day. Sigh.
{BEST HAIR TOWEL + PJS}

Everyone was ready for bed…

…by 9:00, I was reading my book and watching the Dallas Stars and then fast asleep (with those two dogs).
And that’s a day in the life.
Thanks for stopping by. I’ll see you tomorrow. xx
