Y’all! Christmas is in two weeks. What the heck? It goes by too quickly! This is why I put my Christmas decorations up early…because I feel like I blink and it’s already over. Sigh. The Shulls have a lot of Christmas to cram into the next few weeks. #tistheseason

My brother and his beautiful wife announced this week that they’re having a baby :).
Our family is super, super excited about this! My kiddos don’t have any cousins on this side of the family (I have a niece and nephew on Andrew’s side), so they’re extra pumped about the additional cousin. Sean and Catherine told my parents and my little family a while ago…but my favorite part is that they let Kensington tell the rest of our extended family. It made her life. She was so honored and excited to get to share the news one night at a party with our entire family. I thought it was so sweet that they let her :).
Side note: if you are in either of my children’s first grade or kindergarten classes at school, you also knew early. Because my kids apparently don’t know what “this is a secret” really means. #kidproblems 🙂 So, our family and a bunch of 5 and 6 year olds knew this news ;).
Time to spoil my new niece or nephew!
Did you guys watch Michael Buble’s Christmas special last night? My little family LOVES watching this every year! This was definitely one of my favorites from this week.
Okay, my Gap Puffer Vest is one of my all time favorites! I bought this baby two years ago and wear it all the time! The quality of these puffers are really outstanding. They’re thick, they’re warm, the hood is removable…even if you’re not a Gap person, I think you’ll be impressed by these puffers. Every time I put mine on, I think, “geez, this is nice”. Bonus, the puffer comes in 8 different colors (I also bought navy two years ago too).
And PS: My favorite jeans (pictured) have been out of stock for the last two weeks but are back now! These are my FAVES!

I took this pic and sent it to my grandmother this week. My grandmother gave me this jacket on my 19th birthday…and I still wear it all.the.time! It’s 15 years old and still one of my favorites :).

Last weekend my husband, new baby (Cosette, but we call her Cosi) and I visited NYC at Christmastime. After reading your blog I know you adore it at Christmas as much as the next person, it's so magical! I love reading your posts about NYC, we lived in Greenwich, CT and often went into the city and now are back in Houston and although I prefer the lifestyle here I desperately miss the convenience of being able to hop on a train and have a weekend away with my hubby in NYC (Houston doesn't have quite the same feel.. LOL)
Anyway, our driver back to the airport was telling us about several celebrities he had provided car service for over the years and one story made think of you. He said he picked up a guy from the local private airport where all the rich and famous fly into with their private jets (Teterboro). On the way into Manhattan this guy started singing to his little boy and the driver complimented the guy on his unique voice and how beautifully he sang. I bet you can guess who was signing — Micheal Buble!! and the driver didn't have a clue who he was. Crazy, huh? It was funny and I thought of you and how incredulous you might feel knowing someone didn't recognize him and now you're probably wishing you were the driver that day as well. Merry Christmas, Shay, and congrats on the news for your sweet family.
PS The next time you are in NYC you MUST go to Black Tap in Soho and order one of their amazing milkshakes. Also hit Holey Moly up where they make the most delicious doughnut ice cream sandwiches.

Do the blank denim jeans stretch out? I have Paige in a 26 and just ordered these I. A 26 per your reference however a lot of reviews said size down. Hope they work. So cute and hope they're as comfy as you say. The Paige are like leggings. Comfy!

I watched the Michael Buble show! I have been listening to him nonstop, so I had to watch it. and i love the "but first coffee" sweatshirt….just wish they made a t-shirt too…since being in FL I won't get much use out of the sweatshirt. lol
